Why release a patch if it doesn't fix at least a few of the issues? I'm optimistic for the patch, especially because I'm almost done with Sunset Overdrive. If the game is still broken, I'll have to start AC:U and continue to wait (assuming Unity's next patch arrives soon)
I don't really get it either. It's a re-release of 4 Halo games that are the same now as they would be 5 years from now. It's basically archiving these games so they can continue to be played for this console generation. What difference does it make if they ran poorly for the first 1-2 weeks in the long run? Maybe people are just reselling and waiting for it to go on sale to buy it again and save $15? Or maybe people just like to be dramatic.
I'm not optimistic as I have very little faith that 343 can actually make a game after this
, the whole thing stinks of too many people doing separate things then slamming them together at the last moment and hoping for the best.
I think a lot of the blame is on Microsoft who obviously pushed the game out before it was ready and now we're seeing what happens when you do that.
To be perfectly honest I am looking into returning my copy as I don't really want to play the campaign, I love them but I have played them to death,
I bought this game so I could play online with my old Halo friends and maybe the chance to meet new people that loved the game,
the fact that I cannot do that means that this purchase in it's current state is a digital coaster that's wasting my HDD space.
I really hope they do sort it out, because it would be absolutely great to play my favorite games again, but I won;'t be holding my breath.
Plus $60 is a lot of money to pay for something that doesn't work, I'd rather get something working with that money and pick up halo again at a later date.
