I feel awful for 343. Obviously they put a lot of work into this, a shame everyone is continuing to have issues. Hopefully things are sorted soon.
This really makes me question what their test environment is. They already delayed the patch to get it right and myself and others are in a worse place now than before. Again, I really hope 343 can right the ship. I really look forward to enjoying this game.

Honestly from the list floating around I think the problem is they didn't put enough work into the collection. 343i is a talented studio but when you outsource so much the quality has to suffer a bit.
343i's headquarters just got DDOS'd
On a phone grammar police, and this is Microsoft, and Halo. Their premiere franchise. Who knows maybe they didn't have enough time? And I have nothing against 343, I thought H4 was a wonderful game all around. I would have just thought that the company that had a large role in making online matchmaking 10 years ago would have this down to a science, otherwise I wouldn't be looking at a suck screen with "downloading the latest matchmaking data" on it.

Possible that with functioning code that the servers that weren't being used before are getting hammered? Things were good for 3 games now shit again but I do understand that the patch just went live and there is no immediate promise of a fix. I am enjoying all the juniors exploding in the 2 threads though.

I literally can't even get in a match now when I'd get one probably every 10-15 minutes pre-patch. Matchmaking is worse now.

After this fiasco of the patch not really helping many, anyone want to make any wagers if we ever see Stinkles/Frankie posing in this or the other thread? I have a feeling we wont be hearing a peep out of him on NeoGaf, perhaps on the official Halo Waypoint site, but after this, I doubt we see him posting. And not that I don't want to hear from him or find out what is going on, I just think he knows that as soon as he types a response the backlash and comments and GIF's are going to be flying.
People said this after release and he still came back. He'll be back, I bet. Hope is all but gone now though.
I totally agree. That, combined with a deadline being enforced, they had to put the game out. A shame they couldn't be more honest instead of saying that this patch would solve problems instead of create additional problems

The game should of been delayed it clearly wasn't ready.
Including three platforms they'd never worked on before, without having the expertise on-tap that you get being 1st party. 343 has every resource they could ever want to know exactly how the XB1 and Live works, not to mention they made Halo 4 and oversaw Halo CE Anniversary, yet they fuck up MCC spectacularly.
I really hope that people give Bungie the credit they're due with Destiny. It's one thing to subjectively not like it as a game, but you have to be impressed with how it's such a solid online experience.

Just had a team BR match on Lockout, now that's a map that's ideal for that mode, and not the mess that's Warlord. Think I'll be playing the Anniversary mode the least if people keep selecting Team BR though. Next to no variety.

One match in half an hour. Started at 5v4. Two people on my team weren't playing and the other was team killing the whole game. This game is a disaster right now.

Had to do a hard power down/ power up cycle in order to get the update to go.
Seems lame that I had to do that, was even in MM and the game didn't notify me there was a patch.

Parties are still broken. Can't back out with the party, uneven teams consistently, and party members are often not on the same thing. Progress was made, but we need more than progress when a game has already been launched. It needs to work. Pretty upset overall with this launch.
Nintendo: "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad."
MS: "A game will not be delayed if it threatens our Q4 sales forecasts."

Well it removed the zoom sound from the Halo 1 pistol. Complete silence when I eventually got a chance to play.
So there's that.

Boxer is an option. Melee is on LT.
The fact that people can now get into matchmaking games. It's a step forward. They have more updates to do, and they said as much.

Mtahcmaking has been working well for me tonight. Well it's all relative. I'm getting in games pretty quick but there are a lot of 5v4 or even 7v5 etc in what should be a 4v4 playlist. How is that still broken?
Edit: Just was about to start a new game but everyone quit/ got dropped except three of us and it wouldn't let me quit it just hung there till I forced the game to quit through the dash....

This is something I am not seeing, nor never saw in matchmaking. IF I got into a game, at least it's smooth and playable. This has been the case since the game launched for me.
Things were odd for me after the patch, then I got this "downloading data" or something message. Then I couldn't get into a single match. Tried a few minutes ago and jumped into 7/7 BTB, and it was balanced. :O. Next game was 7/6 though. :\

Yeah pretty much. Lots of knee jerk reactions and overly high expectations for one patch. We all know the game has mass problems. I dont think its wrong to freak out about the launch issues, but for some reason everyone expected the game to be completely fixed with this one patch when 343 was very specific about more patches being needed. In other news i set my house on fire cuz im so upset lol.

Anyway to put Melee on LB? I like grenades on LT.
