Just bought 'n hooked up an Xbox One. Going to purchase the MCC from the Marketplace once I'm all set up.
Initially, I'll probably be sticking with the Campaign for the most part, and that the matchmaking issues will be ironed out by the time I get to it. What are the bugs related to Campaign now? Lost checkpoints?

Honestly I think after Truth and Reconciliation CE Legendary gets easier
This is the bit I can't get my head around. It makes them look SO bad. I mean, things that they said were fixed in the release notes, point blank aren't. So the least they could do is acknowledge that and assure us there was a problem somewhere and that they didn't just make the release notes up.
I never really had an issue with those levels tbh

Specifically on Two Betrayals it was the Wraiths at the beginning, the "disable the pulse generator segments", and the steal a Banshee guarded by a small battalion of Covenant parts that stick out in my head.
Keyes, as a whole, was just, yuck to me; as bad if not worse than the Library.
Just snipe the Elite as he gets in the Wraith. ezpeazylike

Also, Assault on the control room which is a level that always feels like it is never going to end. The Library is also another level.

Yeah I got a bunch of matches with all balanced teams last night as well. I wish they could just figure out why it works so well for some people and not others.
I don't understand why it's an issue, period. Is the number of players in the session divisible by two? No? THEN DONT LAUNCH THE GAME YET. It's elementary-school level arithmetic. But the majority of games I've played started with seven or nine or eleven players.

Recently got home and I've seen this three times in a row so far. Not a game yet for me today....

I did the chat on Xbox.com. It was painless and the person was very helpful. No argument, not escalation. I nicely stated in the starting chat the system was not working and I would like a refund. It could not have been quicker.

I think it may be server issues this time... just guessing though. I played a match now, besides I think it wasnt dedicated server. But I'm not sure.

Things are pretty damn unstable. Sometimes it works sometimes it doenst. Its crazy.

Maybe, maybe not. But there is zero risk to me if its not. It doesnt work now so its no loss. If I want to retry and when its a better, its just a few click away.
In the end, the only thing I can do with Halo is vote with my money. I have liked all the games so far (even 4....I know). When they made a product that was not working, even after 10 days, then I need to put my money where my mouth is.
I'm not storming off saying I'll never play Halo again. I love it and will be back....when it works. If I can get a working copy and save a few bucks, GREAT! If I can get a working copy and I still have to pay full price, well....I was willing to pay full price on launch day without issue. The question isnt is the product worth it. To me it is. The question is, Is a broken product worth it. With all the other good games out, sadly no for me.

Haven't even started playing yet and Live is giving me the blues. After a phone call with Xbox Support, I was able to redeem the currency, but now I'm getting an error message when trying to purchase the MCC off the Marketplace. Thankfully, the currency is still there, but...
I think I"ll just wait for an hour or two. Could've had the game downloaded in that time. :/ And then there's that huge patch. Ugh...

I really don't feel like playing games right now, Destiny is treating me bad even though it's finding matches they are hugely lob-sided, so after a few hours of that i'm sat here staring at failing matchmaking screens in MCC.
I might as well just stick with titanfall and garden warfare (both early 2014 games! with SERVERS!) and call it a generation.

There was plans for another patch to fix more single player stuff, the patch we just had was suppose to get multi working again.

Some people are saying they're talking to Xbox.com support about a refund and getting denied and that the CSR is saying to wait until the 24th.
Someone on reddit took a screenshot of their convo about this and someone else here on GAF said they had the same experience.
Either way, don't hold your breath for anything meaningful to happen on the 24th.

I'm not going to call anyone a liar here, but I'm just posting the link.
He says he works for one of the companies the work was outsourced to and the mods have verified him so who knows.
That AMA is going to hell in a handbasket real fast...
Even if he/she was in the slightest way legit, there's no point to that AMA because the answers given are so vague is laughable.
The mods there removed it so they must have found it to be fake also just like frankie said.

Yeah, whatever mod approved it is a dummy. I got so hopeful for some honest answers. Back to being in the dark.
I was having flashbacks of that Destiny dev AMA from like six weeks ago with this... but that one was at least intelligible. Good head-fiction to be sure though, this one was just asinine, haha.

Allright, here goes a resume of my experience after getting home from work and trying again (at lunch I wasnt able to play anything, yesterday I was but crashed a lot).
It may not be completely accurate, but it was more or less like it:
1st attempt > Lost connection with the host error message.
2nd attempt > Got a game in HCS playlist. It seems it was just fine.
3rd attempt > Played TDM playlist and it also ran just fine.
4th attempt > Lost connection with the host error
5tth attempt > Lost connection with the host error.
6th attempt > Lost connection with the host error. Then I realized I would probably get nowhere... closed the game and started it again.
7th attemp > Got that "downloading the most recent matchmaking data" message, but it was quick. Took quite long, but was able to find a match again. Got stuck at loading screen. Had to close the game again.
9th, 10th and 11th attempts > Played different playlists, found quite quickly the mathces, and everything seems to run just fine. At the end of the last one my game crashed though.
All of those games, except for one with 9 players general, got me even teams.
One of those games, in Halo 2 classic, in the middle of it got me a black screen... that ended up killing me when I got a blade! T-T But came back right after and did not happened again, until now at least.
That said, it seems to the servers are really unstable, more then just the patch code itself. Sometimes it works really well... sometimes it gives a bunch of problems. I'm a bit more positive now... maybe they will talk about it soon.

But still too far from perfect, and sometimes really unbearable. But it seems things are indeed progressing... I'm curious to know what will be 343's notes about tonight.

Two games in a row 5v4 on Ascension spawning at the banshee spawn. Not only do I start a man down, but you spawn in the most vulnerable position and the other team is given both snipers and high ground.
