Anyone think the lighting on Awash is too dark for some reason? Every forge stream I've seen, it's very dark, an almost dusk like setting. What's the cause for that? You'd think it would be at least as bright as Stonetown.
Edit: Never mind. It seems some parts of the map can be dark I guess if the lighting isn't generated or not in the direct pathway of the sun?

I've heard about this a few times now and am very worried.
Any people who have had their copy unlocked and immediately get to play?
I put in the disc, started install, left after a couple of minutes (it was at 10% at that time). Took a shower, came back about 30 minutes later, the game was fully installed and the updated had also downloaded and installed as well.
So less than 30 minutes. Going by the initial percentage, maybe 20 minutes or so for the full install?
On another note, I played a few minutes of Halo 3 campaign, man it looks so good at 60fps, can't wait to see how Halo 4 would look (I didn't watch any videos released of the campaigns, even the gamersyde ones).

I live just outside Toronto, ordered with Futureshop. Same thing. They shipped out the orders early because tomorrow the postal service is closed. Usually I get it around noon, on release day.

Well, you can buy it now, but don't bet on it being ready to play at launch if other users' experience is any indication, my included.
The install takes hours and hours and hours and hours.

I've never had a game on PS4 or Steam that's booted up immediately at launch. There's always like a 5-10 minute delay where somebody over at their offices is in the bathroom when he remembers he has to go flip the switch.Xbone digital preorders need the countdown clock that PS4 preorders have.
I love watching that thing tick down to 00:00:00 and auto-boot the game!

Sat in H2A matchmaking for about 15 minutes now, the highest it got to was 5 people, I know release is not until tomorrow but I expected more early birds to be online.
Yes I've been working on some of the weirder achievements while I wait for matchmaking to bulk up.
I got immediate boots on PS4 with Watch Dogs, Destiny, Garden Warfare, and inFamous First Light. (from recent memory) All were while watching the giant countdown. The system does send a notification that the game can be launched 10-15 minutes later, though; if that's what you were waiting for.
EDIT: And I'm specifically talking about PRELOADED preorders. Non-preloaded midnight releases on PS4/PS3 were always like 45 minutes late. It was annoying.
I know at least 8 people who are searching in the first playlist, but we are not getting matched up against

downloaded the whole thing once [took forever], then the patch came out.
patch got stuck at 100% and wouldn't finalize [after a full day waiting], so i deleted, and re-downloaded.
luckily, it downloaded the full 59.1GB - can't wait to jump in tonight!

I had this happen to me too. I had to actually search for the game, and then choose the one that said pre-order. Try that dude.
There is no instant switching in multiplayer. H2A MP is not Halo 2 MP.
