So reading the posts it looks like the servers are borked? I kind of expected it and so I never went to the midnight launch. I'm just gonna roll in tomorrow and grab it and let it try to download all day long.
 
Woah, I was in a custom game with 3 other people and the game straight up crashed. I got a debug error message in red text too.

I don't think I've ever seen a retail AAA game crash like that before.

This happened to me once during the first weeks of Gears of War 2.

Why the fuck is my digital preorder that ive had downloaded for 2 weeks 'installing'? Its at 2 percent and according to my bandwidth ive downloaded a furth 2gb and counting. My install was 59gb! GET BILL GATES ON THE PHONE
 
This is the company that invented internet infrastructure for consoles. Halo 3 was able to serve 1 million people in the first 24 hrs. Shouldn't this just be old hat for them by now? I know that launching any server heavy game is really really hard, but Microsoft has so much experience with this exact situation. How does Steam so handily kick their ass at download speeds and pre-loads? its 2014, and consoles still just suck. I'll stop filling the thread with bitching now.

Seriously makes me wonder, and people had worse internet back then too, I know I did for halo 3

A buddy came online, so it turns out my first thing is Multiplayer... well Nightfall which is amazing, but Multiplayer Anniversary. So far it seems to be working, with a bunch of server bugs which are likely due to it being launch day.
Loading back to the menu from in game does take a long ass time though. Might be server issues because We've found it much faster to force quit out then re-party up after each game.

Actually if you remember, Halo 3 had lingering network issues for the first few days before they finally got sorted out. It was soo bad that you were lucky to get into a game
 
I'm currently in a lobby, it's been saying "Setting up game..." for 10 minutes, three people have left and we've had a host migration.

Jesus, LIVE. Fix this shit.

Some bug but there was a work around that said hard reboot your console but it maybe to late for you however you may as well try it.

The overreaction is hilarious.

What ever happened to our society? so much freaking drama everywhere about pretty much everything. Its like if social media is making peoples brain addicted to drama and complain.

Said so, I'm really surprised how well the Halo CE campaign holds even now.
 
wish there was a bumper jumper control scheme that mapped grenades to A in halo 2. only game that doesn't have it. Universal places it on the d-pad.

People are saying that it's across the board. My boy has just come off a PVZ Garden Warfare session, and he said he had no problems fwiw.
