Got a few games in. Matchmaking is slow but it is working for me. Halo 3 is so much better wo tbh the improvements of 60/1080

Found a fix for us retail owners

DELETE THE INSTALL AND DISCONNECT YOUR XBOX... Then, restart the install without reconnecting

No seriously, that way it doesn't try and pull the patch from their currently fucked servers and you can just play the damn SinglePlayer

Mine was mostly done, then the patch prompt was on screen when I switched back. Hit it and install went to 1% and sat there for 10 mimutes =/

Offline install is already at 20% after the same period of time.

If I reconnect to tge network after the game is fully installed, will it force me to download the patch before I can play?

Played some Halo 2 campaign and the breaks for the game to load the cgi sequences are bad.

besides that, after I used the default controller setting, I am quite happy with the MCC

Halo: Ce framerate dips are bad and im not one usually for an eye for it. When it peaks at 60 it is surreal but once you hit open areas as in second mission...oof

Its taking me 3-4 mins to get matches in the Halo 2 anniversary, kinda lame... but once you in, it works pretty good: I have experience no lag.

I'm in France. I managed 1 game earlier that was lag free. But with the ping indicator bars hidden, it is hard to say.

Honestly, I'm not holding out for anything special like titanfall here. 343 don't seem to have a clue about how to manage the online set-up.... What is even worse is the fact that they have the azure network at their disposal.

Their multiplayer designers need to be sacked.

Just played a Halo 1 big team battle match. Sooooo good.

Tried for over an hour to play matchmaking at midnight. Failed miserably.

Got an invite to some customs from some cool GAFfers though. Game runs beautifully, and ironically the connection once in-game was rock solid. Playing Halo again felt so damn good too.
