This is all I care about. Gimme dat Impend remaster.
I would like to see it too.I only played Halo 1 and 4 but there are big framerate drops in both.
Halo 1 framerate is terrible.
Is it the same with Halo 2 Anniversary?
Also there are disappearing weapons from the ground and really bad foliage draw distance in both campaigns that I played.
I must say that it is a little disappointing.
Laaaame. First match I played Halo 2 since I was 12 and I went 36 and 6.

Please bear in mind these playlists will be used for ranked after a week or two, this design choice is essential to ranked playlists.
Yeah I just got an X1 yesterday so everything is strange to me. It only records 5 minutes? Really? Damn Sony treated me so good with 15. And do you know if you can take screenshots at least or is it only recording features?
I played many hours of both, can't remember having to rejoin friends after every match but I'm getting old I might have forgot how fucked that is.

I think the friends thing is just a bug or something now with the server, but you definitely have to re-search after every game.
Yeah I knew about researching game just it disbanded the whole party.

Ohhh no, I thought you meant as in after a match you don't get to keep playing vs the same other team. Yeah it seems fucked that you don't pull your lobby of friends back out after a match.

More than likely this means etiher:
they push out an update slowly from region to region while they ensure quality of the change
or
that they install the update on boxes in waves rather than all at once. Hence some people will get the improved matchmaking while others hit the old, unupdated boxes until they get updated.

I still can't get into a game. They know this game is broke right.
The Duke is the one I settled with early.
I think most of those reviews were prefaced by saying it was based on the single player campaigns, and some even noted the technical issues.

Halo CE judder is unforgivable... framerate is perfect with classic graphics but just awful with anniversary graphics. It's so bad it they should have just left it at 30 fps or at least give the option. When you get in the warthog it's not even fun to drive because it's such a juddery mess.
I really hate how they went on and on about everything being 60fps when the framerate is so bad. And the framerates during cutscenes are atrocious. Just a shit show and really embarrassing.
For something that's supposed to be a celebration I can't believe they think this is acceptable. What an utter disappointment.

Even though I am disappointed to hear about the framerate issues, I am looking forward to playing through the campaigns in 1080p. I normally play through the campaigns solo on Legendary once very year or two, and I am definitely overdue. However, there are a number of areas throughout the game that I am not looking forward to, as they can be pretty grueling on Legendary. They are, off the top of my head, and in order:
Halo: CE
Halo 2
Halo 3
Now I don't remember too much of Halo 3's Legendary campaign being as frustrating as the previous two games. Just a few parts really stick out in my mind as being rough.
Halo 4
Halo: CE
- Defending the first downed Pelican in Halo.
- Fighting the Hunters before boarding Truth and Reconciliation in Truth and Reconciliation.
- The first room after boarding Truth in Truth and Reconciliation.
- The first large-scale battle in Assault on the Control room, before getting the scorpion tank.
- The run up to Keyes and then the room Keyes is in, on the level Keyes.
Halo 2
- The docking bay in Cairo Station.
- Any time there is a Jackal sniper in Outskirts.
- The preceding the scarab in Metropolis.
- Pretty much the whole level Regret.
- The first area of Gravemind.
- The whole banshee part of The Great Journey.
- Tartarus.
Halo 3
Now I don't remember too much of Halo 3's Legendary campaign being as frustrating as the previous two games. Just a few parts really stick out in my mind as being rough.
- The final area of Sierra 117, before being exfiltrated.
- Any time there's Drones in Crow's Nest.
- The open area before getting on the final bit of highway to the cannon in Tsavo Highway.
- The final push on the anti-aircraft cannon in Tsavo Highway.
- Dealing with the stalker forms of the flood in Cortana.
- The first big area near the beginning of Halo.
Halo 4
- I don't remember the exact order of it, but it's a big area in Requiem with three buildings and lots of Prometheans and Covenant. I believe you can get a ghost.
- The big area in Infinity before meeting with Palmer.
- All of Reclaimer. Seriously, this level was brutal.
- There's a big open area in Composer that features a lot of Prometheans. And you can fall to your death.
- Any time you have to fight the constant waves of Promethan crawlers and the final area of Midnight.

Played one round of Ball as my introduction to Halo multiplayer and got royally fucked up. now I'm at a loading screen that's taking so long I might as well go make a sandwich.
If you want to play while it downloads, go offline first, install the disc, then connect to download the update.

I just turned my system off and on again and it worked fine. I also heard installing offline helps.

Darn it. I am so crushed by this. I bought this system to play this game and last night my four closest friends were all online ready to play halo, the first time we were going to play a game together in years. And now this. I know it will get sorted and will work eventually, but I can't help but feel pretty crappy about this launch.
I should have bought the damn disc, at least I could play it. Ive power cycled this thing so many times now. 4th attempt at installing from live.
