If wanting to win as a f2p player means I have to play 2 of my favorite classes (hunter + shaman) then yep, I like to only play the best decks (at present).

Hunter legendary is a dangerous craft because it might not actually be all that useful.

Rogue quest and Shaman elemental legendary are about as safe a craft as you can get if you don't have to be playing the absolute best tier one deck at any one time.

I just got totally wrecked by Emerald Hive Queen spawning from my Maelstrom Portal.

Twice.

In the same game.

I don't play Mountain Giants against Pirate Warrior, I just mulligan those away. Every other card in the deck is good against Pirate Warrior though especially the Razorleafs into any taunt activator.

Pirate Warrior is going to ignore all of your board so everything gets hit by Shambler/DoA/Sunfury.

But Mountain Giants win other match ups.

What's your strategy vs quest mage and quest rogue? Just giant asap and face?

I guess I need dirty rat? Not sure how/when to use it? Just 1copy?

This card is so awful - I got 3 of them in my packs. :(

You use Dirty Rat to disrupt their combo. Late game, Quest Mage's hand almost certainly has a Sorcerer and/or Antonidas. That's when you play it, and then you kill whatever it pulls to destroy their combo.

Quest Rogue is awful! I wanted to craft a quest and one that would be worth most of my dust so I went for Rogue, what a mistake!

0—5 later and I'm pissed off. I get destroyed every game by any deck and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I haven't even got near completing the quest abs get wrecked while messing around digging for the right cards.

What am I doing wrong?

what list are you running?

Is Rogue Quest still considered a tier 0 deck?

A friend quitted the game yesterday because he saw a post on reddit (lol) saying that was a tier 0 deck , and I told him that I had played against a lot of rogue quests and is not a 7-3/8-2 match up for all decks to be considered that good.

Heck, I double him on ranks right now and I still lose and win against that deck on the same ratio, I still don't find it to be this awesome deck like aggro shaman on wotg, midrange shaman on onik or aggro pirate on msg were, and I'm not even taliking on those other fun decks like patron warrior or secret paladin, but I don't know if in higher ranks (I'm current 9 now) the deck is unbeateable

It might not even be tier 1.

Are Paladins that bad now? I was curious about making a Galvadon deck but I haven't played against a single pally in like 30+ games.

It's definitely tier 1.
I dunno, just a standard one with all the bounce cards.

I can't even get the quest complete and it's not even close. It just seems so situational to me. I can play 2 of the same card, maybe 3, and then am left fishing for it again while my opponent just builds a board and wrecks face.
The list is quite important because the meta changes every other hour. You should be able to complete the quest somewhere between turn 3 and 7 while not falling too far behind on board. Which is important not to as you don't have many tools to regain the board.

Quest mage has to be the most boring thing to play against. Freeze all day til she gets the killing combo or finally runs out of freezes and ice blocks.

They have 3 somewhat viable decks already between Elemental, Token, and Murloc. Maybe near to the worst class, but the worst class still seems a lot better now than the last few expansions. Can already tell that there's not going to be a Karazan Priest or MSoG Hunter this time.

Galvadon is not good at all though. Reward isn't quite good enough late game to be worth making your deck worse in slow decks, and buff cards make fast decks too inconsistent. I only crafted it because I got voraxx in packs, but I kinda regret it.

Thanks, I get that I should be able to compete the quest that quick but I can't. I'm not able to get the list right now but it includes all of the bounce cards.

The problem I have is that I bounce my first 1 or 2 manna minion to get 2 played but then that gets killed and I don't draw into it again. I'm then left choosing another minion to start bouncing and it all goes downhill from there...

That's why you don't leave the minion you're chaining on the board until you have a way to bounce it back to the hand.
On the mulligan you look for bounce or high value minions to bounce. Things like shadowstep, novice engineer or swashburglar. You pretty much always keep shadowstep it's the best card in your deck.

You also don't need to start fulfilling the quest right away. Getting out patches with Southsea Deckhand to deal with early aggression is fine. Hero Power on 2 is often the best action as it allows to play 1 drop + 2 drop bounce turn 3.

What about rogue? I guess you play it after they shadow step their target? But there's so many options for rogue.

Nice burn off of Primordial Glyph there Trump!

Close game.

Yeah I was DantheBadass. I didn't stream snipe him so I ended up playing into that Meteor. Though honestly that ended up being correct anyway because I didn't draw Brawl fast enough.

We should have a GAF list of battletags to shore up our friends lists.

I also want to get more gaf games going just for fun.

I wanted to talk about primordial glyph, that card is kinda BS. It's a free spell with card selection sidestepping deck restrictions and powers the quest. In relations to that quest regardless of where in the meta it ends up the coin should not count towards it.

Dahbomb was going to host a HSGAF tournament, but it never got off the ground for some reason. I think it was largely because people couldn't agree on rules/formatting?

Primordial Glyph stays winning.

I imagine that you would want to play it on curve in that setup and hope it causes disruption, but Dahbomb is the Handlock specialist so go with whatever he says.

Sunkeeper Tarim is quickly becoming my favourite card. Have him in elemental Paladin and while at first glance you think he doesn't have synergy with the deck he's actually super clutch in most games. Fantastic card.
I think a lot of the legendary minions are very fun in this expansion. Pyros fills out the curve nicely in elemental mages without feeling very overpowered. Lyra give priests a ton of value but priest spells are terrible which balances that out. Sunkeeper is super cool although I haven't seen him played that much (due to paladins being rare). King Mosh seems very powerful, haven't run into him at all yet though.

Besides the odd PW and the silly Quest Rogue the games generally last quite a few turns in my ranks, too. There's been plenty of room for interaction and planning ahead. I'm pretty happy overall with Un'goro so far. The two really bad spots are Quest Rogue and Quest Mage, neither is fun to play against.

You mean the 5 mana cost that you have to spend to play it? It's not 0 mana like Forbidden Ritual.

I haven't played this game since it first came out and I'm trying to readjust. I scrapped all my cards for two copies of the Warlock card that lets you play your next spell for health instead of mana because I thought that spells included minions and it seemed busted with my Lord Jaraxxus that resets my health to 15. Especially since I can have three copies of him with Sense Demons.

I'm too used to MTG language :-(

Also the second day of me playing the game my favorite card rotated out of Standard, the one that gives your demons +4/+4 and blows them up eot. I was sticking it on the 1 mana windfury guy then eating it with the demon that absorbs the stats of adjacent minions.

Now I dunno what I'm gonna do lol

I spent all my time on Warlock since his hero ability seemed busted to me as an MTG player, but all the other heroes just kind of get the same card advantage for free off their spells and all mine are random discard bullshit.

Seriously, though, what's with the drawbacks on the Warlock cards? Two random discards for 3 extra health over a shieldmaster? I get there's a theme of getting discarded cards back but that's garbage if you can't pick the cards you dump.

I've been thinking this expansion is hard for new people and for F2Ps who didn't save gold. At least for a week or two.

As a newcomer, I see quite a few players using quest decks (in my case i see loads of murloc shamans) and i haven't got many tools to stop/delay the quest.

The average decks of opponents have definitely changed. We'll see how it goes from here.

It would have been cool to get a random quest card at the start instead of that other dino we got.

I didn't log in the day they gave that out so I didn't even get that :/

It's becoming so difficult keeping up with how quickly they're releasing expacs.

i had 6 mana i can read a card, I'm not blind.

Sorry, I guess I'm confused on what you were expecting it should have given you. It doesn't eat any mana crystal without summoning a 2/2 according to what they said. So if you have 3 minions on board to start, it should eat 4 full crystals, and drain 1.

Is that not how it works?

Man that quest rogue deck is some shit. I haven't gotten to paly much since the expansion dropped, but damn son. 5/5s out of 1/1s ok turn 4-5 is tough.

Still beatable by a good secret pally list in wild though, ayyyyyyy lmao. I've beaten three or four on my way up to 10 in wild this season. In Standard thigh I just get shit on by everything.

Is there even a non-Discard Zoo now in Standard?

Anything that spends health to do something in Warlock is pure trash. Sense Demons is also trash. If you want to use Jaraxxus, Dahbomb's decklist in Standard is probably your best bet:

Yeah, there's a lot of language adjustment to be made.

Post your deck. Warlock is really good, and there is a Discard list for Standard right now people are running:

Warlocks have a source of infinite cards through their hero power. As a tradeoff, most Warlock cards are understatted. Some Warlock cards are given above average stats, but have a drawback. Most of those cards are not worth playing. I'm not sure what Zoolock looks like in Standard - are you playing Standard? I mostly play Wild, so my decklists will look very different from yours if you play Standard.

I don't know how non-discard zoolock could ever work with these cards and no Power Overwhelming.

You have no choice but to run at least Doomguard and Soulfire, which at that point you should probably run Malchezaar Imp for being 1 mana 1/3 with upside potential, and at that point you're a lot of the way to being discard anyway.

I'm actually surprised that there are non-Discard Zoo lists out there and the only burst was Soulfire and Doomguard. Losing Power Overwhelming was a big blow for Zoo.

I will never forget that match against a Priest who worked so hard to build a board and heal back several times out of lethal only to get OTK'd by four Power Overwhelmings and a Soulfire in one turn. That was fucking dirty and I didn't use the deck until I had a quest. RIP.

If discard zoo is the only zoo then why oh why does the quest have to be shit with it?

Even if you don't play it turn one, starting with fewer playable cards is really bad for zoo.

That combined with the condition taking too long to meet and the reward being pretty lackluster is a huge bummer.

Edit: I think non discard zoo uses the 3 mana adapt when it attacks, new egg and double adapt 4 drop.

Streamers have been having some fun with it. I posted a game between two priests that Dog had earlier that showcases the ridiculousness possible with it.

Thanks for the answer. The deck seems fun. Unfortunately, I didn't get Shadow Visions or Glimmerroot from my packs. The latter seems replaceable but Shadow Visions seems essential to the gameplan. I have some dust left so I might consider it in the future. This expansion has so many strong epics it has been hard to decide what to craft.
