Love 36 Chambers but it's the weakest of the 4. 36 Chambers easy.
These people that mention 36 Chambers like seriously. It brought us such classic quotes as "is he... Is he dead?", "we form like voltron and he's the head," and "sew your asshole shut and just keep feeding you and feeding you and feeding you..."

On top of that so many classic songs; Cream, method man, wu tang clan ain't nothing to fuck with, after laughter, can it be it was all so simple then, protect ya neck, 7th Chamber... Pretty much the entire album.

Odb, ghostface, rza, gza, and meth... Like seriously how could you toss this album?

I'm gonna cheat and say none of them. I like all of them to be honest.

It's about the one you like least. They're all classics.

I wouldn't toss it in a vacuum obviously but I like all three of the other albums more.

Ready to Die. I've never liked Biggie.

Come at me.
Have you listened to the album? I wasn't a fan either at first. Juicy didn't do it for me but when I listened to the album he grew on me. Songs like gimme the loot and suicidal thoughts really grabbed me. I mean the opening line of suicidal thoughts:

"when I die, fuck it, I wanna go to hell/
'Cause I'm a piece of shit it ain't hard to fuckin tell"

Just forces you to keep listening.

I actually can't get rid of any of these...but I guess that's the point

I will say that Ready to Die is my favorite hip-hop album

With a heavy heart the chronic gets the axe tbf 2001 is an adequate substitute but nothing can replace illmatic, 36 chambers and ready to die.

The chronic by far. The beats are great, but the rapping isn't as good as the other three.

I'm surprised people like It Was Written so much. I think Illmatic is way better.

Fuck, that's tough. I'd say 36 chambers, just because we have a decent amount stuff of Wu that are just as good.

So much illmatic hate, damn.

to all the people saying Ready to die, no more...

- Big Poppa
- Warning
- One More Chance
- Juicy
- The What
- Who Shot Ya
- Unbelievable
- Gimme the Loot
- Suicidal Thoughts
?

nah, cant picture Hip Hop in the 90s with this tape in my box. sorry.

I can't believe people would ditch 36 Chambers... Cause the Wu? The Wu got something that I know everybody want to hear.

I'd get rid of The Chronic.

Ready to Die, bc it overlaps with Illmatic and Wu Tang but is not as good. Now if you had put Doggystyle on this list, then I would have picked The Chronic.

Also, I learned today that some people like It Was Written better than Illmatic. For real?? I mean IWW is underrated and was a pretty good crossover, but c'mon, it's not in Illmatic's league from a lyrical or production standpoint (neither are most other rap albums TBH).

I'm dropping The Chronic.

Side B doesn't hold its end up anymore, I don't think. The other three still play through with almot zero skippables, even after all these years.

Me being a East Coast dude its easy for me to pick The Chronic to disappear. Real talk from a unbiased point of view The Chronic was one of the best albums ever made.

the beat on unbelievable is absolutely amazing.

honestly I think Ready to Die is the easy pick here. the other three are in a higher tier imo. it's either that or The Chronic.

if you're getting rid of Illmatic or 36 Chambers you need to take a long look in the mirror

Going to have to agree with you, odB on chessboxin' is raw like cocaine from boliva, I could do with out the graphic gentila torture that follows.
