This was the topic on a station. These are generally considered classics and I agree but...

Which Album would you pick to disappear forever?

I think I'm going with the Chronic.

You need to have your ass beat for suggesting ANY of these classics for termination. I oughta take a cueball upside your head.

You're right. It definitely has More fire than I remembered. All that came to mind at first was life's a bitch, one love, and it ain't hard to tell. I still would vote it off the island right after the Chronic though.

N.Y. State of Mind is one of the greatest hip hop tracks of all time, some of you guys have horrible taste in this thread smdh.

The Chronic. The other the still get regular listens by me.

Surprised at all of the replies for 36 Chambers. Probably my favorite rap album of that time.

Read to Die..

Never was the biggest Biggie fan, I respect him.. but I actually like the other 3.

Obviously in the minority here but I don't really like the Wu Tang Clan or 36 Chambers.
So that.

For me it goes

The Chronic
Illmatic
Ready To Die
36 Chambers

All are classics.

In terms of some weak songs the only album that id drop is the chronic. And I love that album.

A better comparison would have been

36 Chambers
Illmatic
Ready to Die
The infamous or Reasonable Doubt. Both even

BTW, I think Reasonable Doubt is the best album of that era.

I play that way more than the other 4.

Easily the Chronic. 36 Chambers and Illmatic are two of the greats. While I'm a massive Biggie fan, who was also a much better rapper than Dre. Dre's best work anyways was done with other artists like Snoop and Em.

Illmatic.
Its a great album but I could listen to the other three on repeat for hours while I can't say the same for this one.

OP, is the question "What album would you get rid of today forever?" as in from this point forward that album would disappear from all stores/online/your music collection or is the question "What album would you get rid of from ever existing?". Ex: Dr. Dre never wrote the Chronic?

I guess I'm gonna pick The Chronic... I listen to way more songs from the other CDs.

The only person that thinks reasonable doubt belongs in the same breath as illmatic and 36 Chambers is Jay Z. You've outted yourself Jigga.

hahaha

Ready to Die easily. Great album, but not as historically important/influential as the other three.
Opinions can be wrong ya know. 😄
On a more serious note, my opinion (That I also admit is bias) is that if the challenge is to not listen to any album going forward it would be The Chronic. But if it's which album should be wiped from history, well damn. That's gonna be impossible.
