As much I don't like Pokemon Arceus, IDK if was a good ideia to make such a silly comparison with a photorealism games as HFW.

I know that's not tech related, but it is refreshing to hear that.
 
I was watching reviews earlier and was surprised how the game basically looked identical to the first one but put side by side like this there is actually a really huge visual upgrade imo.

The human memory is strange I guess.
 
Look s really good, also it's porting that sort of high contrast look of Killzone (specially 3rd) which got my paycheck senses tingling and they I remembered that simply no matter how good looking open-world game are I am not a fan. Sucks for me I guess.

I guess. This is how most of these threads go. Just insult people so they all pretend they see it. It is literally the most barely perceptible difference ever. But I guess that's good news for everyone playing the game, since it looks phenomenal.

that guote makes no sense because the first one was worse than the ubisoft checklist style games

I hope so. I truly hope so.

Masterful decision making by Sony. Delivering outstanding visuals on the PS5 and still not neglecting the huge install base of the PS4.

Omg, finally a dev tackling the god awful rendering technique that is ssr.

Ssr must be the biggest offender of making games look shit. Obviously varies depending on the composition of the game and scene, but large bodies with ssr are simply hideous.

Now finally, the effect is mitigated to the point of no longer being distracting.

I remember there being a lot of criticism from gafter's regarding the surface interactions, but damn, they look good. When that badger ran through the grass leaving a trail…. Amazing detail. And the ground textures! By the time John started talking about the water, I was already majorly impressed. Stunning, and I can't wait to wander around the world, especially the forest and beach areas.
