B. I appreciated the announcements for Clockwork Revolution, Resonance, and the Indy DLC. The rest didn't do much for me, but that's normal. I give them credit for the number of reveals. Nice to see the PS5 logo on everything, too.

PS5 logo everywhere, free advertising for SONY.

I rate it F like FUCKED.

medioCre. i though meat boy, NG4, aniimo, splinter cellish zombies game looked cool tho. that COD trailer was pretty dope and then your like oh. there was alot of shit tha was overly weird, transitions of the world premiere is it game pass or not was very clumsy.

I gave it a D. Which means better than Summer Games Fest at least, which I gave an F. I think the only trailer that actually stood out to me was that Clockwork game. Wasn't expecting Sony's to be the best presentation

Are people trolling calling the show terrible, or wut? Barely any filler, no cringe/cheese, plenty of the good shit shown, and that's bad? Bet you the same people voted highly for that shitstained state of play we had a few days ago.

Solid "B"
it would be "A" if there was Fable, Perfect dark & new Gears presentation.
So...this is XBOX year again ? :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Honestly watching this I realized I don't care about 95% of games being made today. Also it seems like every game being made now is some sort of Alt History/Steam Punk/Fallout themed game.

The only thing that sort of interested me was that Mudang game.

It had some really good looking games but not much that interested me/got me hyped for the game.

As a Switch 2 owner, i give it an F. Microsoft just confirmed that they will go all in on Xbox ROG handheld and compete with Switch 2, instead of porting any of their games to Switch 2.

There's seriously no way someone sane and rational can give it anything lower than a B. Yes the big names were missing, but how many times have people here slagged on Microsoft for not having a good, deep roster of games, including East JRPGs, and the like?

And now that they've shown off a lot of good stuff (especially Clockwork Revolution and Ninja Gaiden 4) that will all be on GamePass…plus SquEnix making with the FF games on Xbox now…c'mon, there's something for everyone and the bench is deep.

And plus next year is the 25th anniversary…if it's gonna be PD, Fable, Halo, and Forza-filled, all in one year…yeah, there's plenty in this showcase to tide us over until next year.

I just finished watching the Jeff Grestmann Show 'talk over' stream.

  • Super Meat Boy 3D seems neat
  • Ninja Gaiden IV looks cool.
  • The InXile Clockwork Revolution looks neat, but that trailer was needlessly long
  • PR Talk about Xbox's multimedia endeavors.
  • Grounded 2 : Honey I Shrunk the Kids: The Game?
  • Cronos and Aphelion - interesting reveals
  • Gears of War Reloaded - not bad
  • I don't really have any interest in Persona
  • Invincible VS fighting game
  • Final Fantasy XVI out now
  • Weird DoubleFine game about playing as a light house called keeper
  • Phil Spencer back to talk about Xbox's 25 year anniversary. Pimps the Xbox Ally as part of "This is an Xbox" campaign.
  • The end Call of Duty 7 teaser. Complete with Nine Inch Nails soundtrack.

Overall, a solid showing. Lots of games. Not many exclusives. Missing Perfect Dark. C++

I liked all three major shows this year. A little bit in each of them that I am interested in. Maybe it is a sign we are coming out of the "covid" years.

The one thing the Xbox showcase did for me is confirm that I should not miss anything by moving over to PC for Xbox games. I know some say the same about Sony but so far, Sony is not releasing day one on PC and sometimes... ...day one is enough of a reason to own a PS.

I think if you are subscribed to gamepass this is a good show. Lots of smaller games that you normally wouldn't get that excited for, but when you know they will be 'free' it changes your perspective.
If you are going to be buying games then I can see how this didnt have that really big title to get pumped up for (unless you are a CoD person)

The Xbox presentation felt like an extension of the PS presentation, just with the PS logos on the bottom

Anyway it's a C for me. Not my cup of tea unlike the Sony one which had loads of Japanese titles I care more which is an A

A lot of 'hmmm.. interesting' announcements that look more off-kilter than exciting and just way too much first-person. PlayStation only went hard on that shit for the one generation and it was the one they struggled most with. Soon as they ditched it and went back to third person, things started looking up. Nintendo have always avoided it first-person and they do just fine. Could be something in that...

A very solid B

Nothing that major, but really nice

We need confirmation dates for stuff to get. That's all we ask

I know, now it's actually about games. What a shame.
Right, as if 'exclusive' games weren't the main reason people bought a console in the first place.

Just look what happened to Xbox - one of its flagship mascots has just jumped ship.

Now, every gaming news post here start with: 'I hope my exclusive doesn't go multiplatform!' or that annoying "another one" gif.

What a shame, indeed.

Microsoft isn't going multiplatform, all they are doing is becoming a PS support studio, when it comes to Nintendo all they are doing is abandoning a deal they signed 3 years ago to port CoD to Nintendo.

Great show. Another win for Game Pass.
Sucks no date for Clockwork Revolution.
High on Life 2, Indy DLC and Keeper can't come soon enough.
There are no Ghosts at the Grand looks like something that might be right up my ally.

1. The "copout story" needs to stop. This is demonstrated in games like Borderlands, outer worlds, etc. You get this beautiful world to look at and assuming solid gameplay but both are undercut by these characters being zany and quirky all the fucking time. Any serious moment undercut by a joke. Deadpool brain from the writing dept. Ruins game after game after game.

2. Showcase started strong. Quickly became terrible. How do you own all of this shit and have no gameplay to show off for any of them. Forget a fucking release date. Where the fuck is gameplay for Halo, Gears, fable, perfect dark…. It's UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE

Megaton announcement of the Ally. Damn that looked sick, the whole presentation. Plenty of great first party games. Final Fantasy finally free from exclusivity. Game Pass, baby.

Straight A.
