Tbf, i'm REALLY insensitive to bad animations in anime, i just enjoy the fact that i can see a manga in motion with full audio, voices etc., even if badly animated, so i kinda enjoyed the series for what it was

Beauty should not be marginalized just because it causes jealousy, hatred or even suicidal thoughts in some narrow group of people who cannot accept themselves as they are.
If someone has a serious problem with their mind, they should seek medical help. This is something that should be promoted in exchange for cutting off the rest of society from certain standards and activities, limiting freedom of expression, views or speech. It's not like everyone else has to take on other people's headaches all the fucking time.
Anyone who thinks that pleasing mentally ill activists should involve creating an artificial world for them rather than helping them come to terms with reality is a problem in itself.

And I mentioned this in the other thread on the topic, but "the fictional standards expected by men" is a very misleading statement. Unrealistic expectations for female beauty are primarily reinforced by women, not by men. Sure, men enjoy looking at beautiful women, but if you look at where the pressure to conform to unrealistic beauty standards is coming from, it is overwhelmingly coming from women. Look at women's magazines or the fashion industry, as two simple examples. Warren Farrell documented all of this thoroughly in his book, The Myth of Male Power, back in the 90s.

No guy is reading all those womens fashion magazines, and for the endless shitload of womens clothing, shoe, jewelry and make up stores in malls or any online retailer, that's not guys pressuring them to buy all this junk. No doubt I think all us guys want our women looking good, but I dont think too many go ape shit expecting them to be outright sleazy floozeballs with caked on make up and butt injections, joker smiles, and whatever other surgery or clothes they blow their money on. No guy I've ever talked to even likes this. They roll their eyes when they say wifey-poo spends shit loads of money on endless wall of black shoes, coats and jewelry. The only guys who love that are the ones who love pornstars with the fakest tits and lip injections kind of women.
It's like the women at the office. You got some which look like they got out of bed and dont give a shit, some that put in some effort looking professional, then there's always a couple really dolled up ones who look like they are about to hit a club right after work and party all night. Everyone knows (including them) all the guys will look, chat with them more, and a lot of the other women will hate her for being too out there loving the attention from the guys. So it's a stupid cycle. If women dont want attention, they just go to the office looking chill. No guy is forcing it with sleazy dress code rules. But a lot of women pressure themselves to get attention because they love it. And it makes all the other women feel like shit and ugly. And for the ones that do it and love it, the rest hate her for it and they wish she would dumb down to their level. Well too bad. Some women like to be hot and flaunt it.
I dont get the notion guys do the same or care. whether some guys go in normal looking or muscle dude busting out of their button shirt like He Man, I dont think guys give a shit even though we all know who are the good looking guys and who arent. None of us care.

Seriously. This editor in chief is only embarrassing himself. But that's my extent of caring about this. I'm already bored of it.
At this point, I just want to play and experience Stellar Blade for myself to see what it's like, on whatever platform I can play the game in the future, because the vast majority of the noise (the word "discourse" should never apply to anything involving a festering, rancid shithole like Twitter) around the game has only gotten more insufferable over time.

I personally make all my characters men or women with what most people would say is the stereotype for very good looking for their respected gender. Women, curvy and lean. Men jacked and lean. I’d wager most people do the same thing.
No ones complaining that kratos body is extremely rare in the real world. I know I’ll never have a physique like kratos and that certainly doesn’t hurt my feelings.
