It’s not console warring though or fanboying is it? This is the default response for some when you genuinely criticise a PS or Xbox game, and it’s because you can’t comprehend that someone would have genuine dissatisfaction or dislike for a game that you personally enjoy. Fuck Sony, fuck Microsoft, fuck Nintendo, fuck Valve - there you, that’s my official position. I like good games.
Genuine critic? Where? All you have been doing is praise Indiana( a game which you haven't probably played yet) while crapping on Spiderman 2( a game which you probably haven't played). Not to mention you are the one who dragged Spiderman 2 to this discussion. You still think that doesn't feel of console fanboying?.
A BlackRock ran games industry reviewed a SBI BlackRock game highly. Colour me surprised.
So did only BlackRock buy the game? All the word of mouth or people praising the game are BlackRock employees? Didn't know I was employed at BlackRock.
I didn’t say Spider-Man games are crap though did I? Because I liked Spider-Man and MM enough to Platinum them.

Allowing MJ to 1 shot normal human being enemies whom Spider-Man (a Super-Hero) has to land 5-10 blows on is the very definition of stupidity. The fact that roundabout lala clown world justifications need to be given to prove otherwise says it all.
Gameplay reasons exist. There is always suspension of disbelief. People didn't like how MJ missions in first SM game were stealth missions so they gave her 1shot-kill to make the missions easier. If you wanted realistic, Spiderman would be dead when the first thug shoots a bullet at his head. Nathan drake would have died 5 mins within his first expedition. Or you think drake fighting 100s of goons single handedly is realistic. Also, the devs didn't give justification, it's just that the average gamer has enough IQ to know why it's like that without having it spelled out for them.

Quality first-party games like Concord?
That didn't have the quality to sell, hence why it got cancelled, everybody refunded and the studio closed.

That's business.

Edit:

Concord failed to meet the standard, rather than quality, btw.

Games does not support FSR or Intel alternate just like Doom Eternal. So you expect upcoming Doom game to be DLSS exclusive.

Now running with Performance metrics on.

Same settings 4K DLSS Performance running on RTX 3080 12 GB at Supreme settings.

I’ve not played this game, to be honest I’d be surprised if you’ve played it or reviewed enough of the public information in order to form an actual view. My view is SBI and tailored review outlets is a major red flag.

I’m not sure why Bethesda keeps getting into these conversations, but review codes seem to have gotten out to a very wide selection of reviewers.

if you wanted to skew reviews, you wouldn’t be sending codes to 7/10 toughies like Metro and PC Gamer that barely like anything.

Suspension of disbelief is all Sony stans can fall back on. I had a similar discussion around TLoU and Uncharted just yesterday where I was quoted that ‘it’s just a work of fiction’. Sony’s first party are bad at writing and really hamfisted, end of.

Nate Drake is a man, and could realistically beat up another man. Whilst we all know he couldn’t beat up 100 men in a row, we can suspend our disbelief because it is not completely ridiculous. Nadine beating up Sam and Nate is completely ridiculous and biologically impossible.

Did you get weird artifacting and fizzling on bright highlights when you got into the temple area? I had to switch to TRS upscaling in order to fix it. Looks like something wrong with DLSS implementation.

Because they are the publisher and they did the same thing with Starfield so there’s a pretty clear pattern emerging.

And to your second point O Ozriel if they weren’t attempting to weaponise the review system why wouldn’t they just send codes to every review outlet? At this scale this is very odd behaviour from a major publisher and is an outlier within the industry. That’s why people are picking up on it.

And the discussion was that this game won't sell amazingly well on PS5, because it doesn't have the quality and interest to match Sony 1st party.

How is any of this bitter conjecture relevant in a review thread about a game that’s currently only available on Xbox and PC?
pack?

You guys do realize this is just another Playstation title to PS installbase, right?

Not for you it isn’t. Which is why you’re working overtime to downplay 🤣

Feels like some silly beef at work.

It’s stupid and it’s something that should have been handled at the Microsoft Gaming leadership level after the Starfield debacle. But Spencer is a jester.

I'm not. If people respond to me, I respond to them.

Just like I'm doing now.
So if multiple people respond, I respond to multiple people.
That's how forums work, right?
Stop responding and so will I.

Quote me once where I have praised this Indiana Jones game.
Sure. Here have a good along with some extra:

NGL Indiana Jones looked very good and much further along than I expected. Nice to see the level of care and attention to detail, Todd’s done a great job conceptualising this.

The great reviews have surprised me in a good way.

If there’s nothing blatantly bat-shit that’s being glossed over, this will be the first single player game from either Xbox or PS that I play in the past couple of years. If it runs on Deck that is.

Microsoft can say ‘here’s a significant chunk of cash and we will put this game on Game Pass day one where 25-30 million players will be exposed to the Indiana Jones universe immediately’ - I’m sure that will be valued much more than 5-10 million sales.
Yeah, ms values that so much that they are releasing it on ps5.
I understand your point but at the same time I’m so done with third person action adventure games at this point, this actually looked like a breath of fresh air (I won’t be playing this, but just my honest thoughts).

First person, not an FPS, puzzles, whips and stealth - I actually think it’s great and there’s a lack of this type of AAA game IMO.

You probably are TBH.
Please contact BlackRock on my behalf, I don't seem to have recieved any salary for them yet, especially since you seem to know so much about them.

Ah, so now suspension of disbelief is a crime. Name me a media that exists without suspension of disbelief. I guess elden ring, baldur's gate 3, gta 5, rdr 2, etc are all crap because they all have various degrees of suspension of disbelief. That's an amazing argument to prove something has bad writing "because it has suspension of disbelief" lmao.

So beating 1 man is same as beating 100. A scrawny happy go lucky guy easily beating up jacked military trained dude along with entire squad while ignoring hundreds of bullets fired at him due to "luck" is so realistic and entirely possible biologically. You should go and tell biologists about that, clearly modern biology is wrong.

I’ll be kind. Posts from January 2021 (4 years ago) where I said I’m hyped for an Indiana Jones game following a teaser, or that the trailer looked better than I expected, or that the positive reviews have surprised me in a good way is me praising the game?

Posts where I’m speculating (4 years ago) that Microsoft might forgoe the miltiplatform sales to keep the game exclusive, and that I’m fed up of third person action games and am looking forward to a first person one is praise for the game as well?

Everything within the universes you’ve listed is relatively consistent. If you fucking stuck Abby in to Elden Ring and she went around clubbing Radahn to death it would be stupid wouldn’t it?

How is Nate scrawny?

So it’s not a cookie cutter narrative AAA game?
That’s a good thing

I’m a little hesitant because I feel like the “action” has been lacking from the trailer and I associate machine games with mowing down enemies. But it’s is on gamepass so I’ll just give it a go and if it sucks (as in I don’t like it) …well then I’ll just delete it

Played a bit more. I'm having such a good time - just sitting here, holding a controller with a huge grin on my face even though the game itself is like casual's Dishonored. Started on default difficulty, but might restart on harder ones as the game is a bit too forgiving. Also have to check if there is a way for your companions to stop giving you hints - that is just about the only thing that annoys me at the moment. Despite what Greg Miller says, exploration is mega fun.

Another note: Castel Sant'Angelo and Vatican levels look better than the tutorial level.

I am installing it. For some reason, installing the digitial artbook is taking forever.

I had to manually install my premium edition content because Microsoft does not do it automatically like Steam. Pain in the ass.

Kinda Funny dampened my excitement for it. Peeps also gotta remember that IGN now owns almost all these big outlets giving the game big similar scores . . .

Keep this in mind when Indy sales numbers on PS5 are shared.😉

Yea a game quality rarely translates to sales, or immersive genre would have boomed since the last 25 years. 🤷‍♂️

That would only tell me how low the standards are for slurping up Spider-Man 2 to those numbers. Either anything Sony produces or Marvel dick riding crowd that think all marvel movies are peak of cinema.

Looking forward to this, will have to wait to play it on PS5 as I sold my Series X.

Could be a 6 out of 10 but I love the first 3 films so that'll easily bump it up to atleast an 8 for me personally.

Hopefully there's not something new and shiny to play whenever it releases on PS5 though, after waiting month's I could be swayed to wait for a sale if there's other stuff to play

You genuinely must be simple so I’ll be kind. Posts from January 2021 (4 years ago) where I said I’m hyped for an Indiana Jones game following a teaser, or that the trailer looked better than I expected, or that the positive reviews have surprised me in a good way is me praising the game?

I guess quoting you doesn't count when it doesn't suit you, got it. I guess words like "the level of care and attention to details" "breath of fresh air" are not praises, my bad.

Relatively consistent? They all exercise a fair bit of suspension of disbelief. It seems to you suspension of disbelief is fine as long as it's something you like. In rdr 2, for example, you have characters talking about their plans while in public, talking loudly while in stealth with enemies just few inches away and somehow they don't get noticed. Arthur can take multiple headshots but heal almost instantly by consuming food or drinking tonics. The gang chooses to hide in a big ass mansion which is right next to a big town. In gta 5, how the fuck do characters know what the other person is doing( when you switch during missions) without any communication or how you cannot be thrown outside the windshield in any car no matter how fast you hit a barrier while in a mission in gta 5, while you easily fly off it during normal gameplay. Gta 5 does so many things that make missions easier( from not getting wanted levels, to increasing player or car health). There are lots of things that don't make sense or are consistent in every game. That's why suspension of disbelief exists.

Nathan, while fit, looks small compared to his enemies who are usually military trained and jacked. Not to mention how easily he can knock out people wearing full armour while having dozens of guys shooting at him.

Now, I am waiting for the damn game to unpack.

You know, I think it would have been better if I didn't pre-install it.

I think you’re mistaking complimentary commentary of a reveal/gameplay trailer with praise of the game.

I just finished GTA V’s campaign for the first time in September and there was nothing in the game that took me out of the experience like Nadine pummeling Nate Drake in Uncharted 4.

You’re also confusing what’s realistic (you’d die in real life if you went through a windshield) with what’s believable within the established universe of a game.

Nathan, while fit, looks small compared to his enemies who are usually military trained and jacked. Not to mention how easily he can knock out people wearing full armour while having dozens of guys shooting at him.
You said ‘scrawny’.

You should check the synonyms of "compliment".

So your only argument is that suspension of disbelief is fine as long as it doesn't apply to a woman?. In elden ring you can choose a female character and defeat huge bosses, surely you have a problem with that as well?. Also, on topic of uncharted 4, you have more issue with that compared to Nathan suddenly telling sam( if I remember correctly) to lower his gun and not kill when 5 minutes prior he killed dozens of random goons?.
You’re also confusing what’s realistic (you’d die in real life if you went through a windshield) with what’s believable within the established universe of a game.
In gta 5, physics operate different while in missions. In regular gameplay, if you hit a barrier you fly out of the vehicle threw the windshield whereas in missions you don't no matter how hard you hit a barrier. The physics in gta 5 aren't consistent. Not to mention characters knowing what other characters are doing without any communication or talking loudly while standing 2 feet behind an enemy while mainting perfect stealth.
You said ‘scrawny’.
Scrawny compared to his enemies, who are jacked up military dudes most of the time.
