PC players really don't like cinematic games
Xbox output is just mediocre. The IP doesn't even matter. The franchise just doesn't have the appeal they thought it did back when it was approved. Or maybe it's the direction they took. Glowing reviews aside, I can't help but feel that if the execution was more inspired by uncharted it could have been a lot more successful.
117.2K sales in a week on a platform with ~70 million units sold, for a game based on a gargantuan IP, that reviewed well with both critics and players, has won several awards and was nominated for others?

So 5 million PLAYERS is equal to less than 100k sales.
The Steam numbers would be higher by this logic.I would have never guessed the console that's sold more is selling more copies of a game. Going to have to rethink my life now. Thanks.

PS sells aren't great either. Nor was Hi Fi Rush. Seems like only Sea of Theives really took off on PS5. FH 5 should sell a couple million at least.PlayStation always winning

Yeah. They limited themselves by going with a Dev that only does fp games. It's still a relevant and viable ip. In the right hands it should and could have been made to rival tomb raider and uncharted. Instead, the games it inspired are still the best in the genre. The franchise just doesn't have the appeal they thought it did back when it was approved. Or maybe it's the direction they took. I would have been all over this day 0 if it were third person. Now it's on a backburner for a deep, deep sale.Indiana Jones ain't what it used to be, but I maintain that the game would have been much more appealing to a larger number of gamers if it had been in third person.
SoT didn't take off either.PS sells aren't great either. Nor was Hi Fi Rush. Seems like only Sea of Theives really took off on PS5. FH 5 should sell a couple million at least.
It's similar to Dishonored 1/2, Prey as well. People seem to not like sim type gamesThe franchise just doesn't have the appeal they thought it did back when it was approved. RDR2 is sim. KCD is sim. It's similar to Dishonored 1/2, Prey as well. People seem to not like sim type games
I finished it on PC and would probably have double dipped on PS to platinum it, but......nah
I thought it sold over 2 million on PS5?SoT didn't take off either.
1M after 4 months. That's decent at best.
Maybe by now, but the only official numbers are 1+M back in august, 4 months after release:I thought it sold over 2 million on PS5?

Doesn't matter how you slice it, those are abysmal numbers, almost to the point where I have a hard time believing them without disclosing all his sources.
I expect forza horizon to sell 3-5 million on ps5. Gran turismo crowd, who are ps5 only, would probably be keen to try it.Maybe by now, but the only official numbers are 1+M back in august, 4 months after release:

Xbox published Sea of Thieves reportedly surpasses 1m sales on PlayStation 5
The once Xbox console exclusive Sea of Thieves has reportedly sold in excess of 1m copies on PlayStation 5. Plenty of sales and sails, really!www.eurogamer.net
Still, 2M sales after a year isn't "taking off".
Xbox output doesn't have much pull outside of the Xbox eco-system.
Maybe Forza will do better at least.
Yeah, my guess as well.I expect forza horizon to sell 3-5 million on ps5. Gran turismo crowd, who are ps5 only, would probably be keen to try it.
Game got raving reviews. Avowed reviewed well. FH5 reviewed well. Hi Fi Rush reviewed well. Most are goty caliber titles. Doom coming next month. To say that output is mediocre is outright fanboy nonsenseXbox output is just mediocre. The IP doesn't even matter.
Now that they are releasing on Playstation, it's becoming apparent how low the bar actually is on Xbox and how much GP is destroying the brand.
Reviews are just opinions though.Game got raving reviews. Avowed reviewed well. FH5 reviewed well. Hi Fi Rush reviewed well. Most are goty caliber titles. Doom coming next month. To say that output is mediocre is outright fanboy nonsense
Well, these are late ports. But PS5, like everything else, is all about Fortnite, COD, Marvel Rivals, Madden, NBA 2K etc... Even Astrobot sells are underwhelming and FF Rebirth sells were disappointingMaybe by now, but the only official numbers are 1+M back in august, 4 months after release:

Stupid post
That doesn't make any sense. That's like saying Astrobot is mediocre despite winning GOTY since reviews are just "opinions"Reviews are just opinions though.
Indy looked like a dud from the reveal.
Astro Bot sold ~2.3+M copies in half the time of SoT, which is decent.Well, these are late ports. But PS5, like everything else, is all about Fortnite, COD, Marvel Rivals, Madden, NBA 2K etc... Even Astrobot sells are underwhelming and FF Rebirth sells were disappointing

I don't think your Astrobot numbers are accurate.Astro Bot sold ~2.3+M copies in half the time of SoT, which is decent.
But that's a bit more than 117K, don't you think?

1.5 million seems underwhelming for a platform with 65milliom-70million and won GOTY by 90% of all outlets imo.Astrobot sells are underwhelming? It was made on a sub $40 Million budget. And sold 1.5 million in 2 months at $60.
The 'Xbox' caption is not in the original image, so my question still stands. I know that the blue camp likes to fabricate data like you did here, but I am interested in facts. It's that white line at the bottom

Astrobot is an evergreen title that will be a new game to every new PS5 purchaser. It's sales are not done yet. By the time they are I think you will be singing a different tune. Astro has got legs.1.5 million seems underwhelming for a platform with 65milliom-70million and won GOTY by 90% of all outlets imo.
Indy was made by a small team as well
Same source as the one in OP:I don't think your Astrobot numbers are accurate.
Ok?

How well has Expedition 33 and Oblivion sold?I believe it's called "the gamepass effect"
I know that the blue camp likes to fabricate data like you did here
Day and date is a big factor, me thinks. How well has Expedition 33 and Oblivion sold?
I'm happy it wasn't inspired. I'm not interested in anymore buddy cop, that-just-happened style 30 minute walky talky quip fest. This game was the Chronicle's of Riddick 2 we never gotThe franchise just doesn't have the appeal they thought it did back when it was approved. Or maybe it's the direction they took. Glowing reviews aside, I can't help but feel that if the execution was more inspired by uncharted it could have been a lot more successful.
Xbomba!Newsflash, there are more than double the amount of PS5s sold than Xbox consoles.
It's true and PS5 fans don't need to worry. MS needs every extra red cent they can squeeze out of these flops to keep gamepass running.Maybe by now, but the only official numbers are 1+M back in august, 4 months after release:
