Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is Still far off

The Heretic Prophet is "still evolving and changing as we're making it" Said game Director Niel Druckmann which means this game isn't going to be released anytime soon

"We still have a ways to go and I'm very excited to see [where it goes,]
Again, these things are so complex and big and there's so many people involved. It's like, I still don't know exactly what this thing is going to look like at the end. I have a theory, I have an idea, but it's still evolving and changing as we're making it."

Since Druckman took over, they basically have done shit. Remasters don't count. I want to step into the universe where Hennig stayed. Just to see what that ND path looked like.

Naughty Dog with Druckman leading: Uncharted 4, Lost Legacy, TLOU2.

Hennig since she left Naughty Dog: Battlefield Hardline, Forspoken (literally worked on the story and co-wrote it).
I mean...sure...good luck

Well, I'll have a Pro by then, and Sony will have updated PSSR to whatever they're cooking up with AMD, so that's fine with me.

Exactly! People act like Druckman started leading in 2020.

Fall 26. Book it

I think you're right. No way they would have shown the game and it be over 2 years off.

Of course it is. These types of game announcements aren't meant for us, the people actually playing the games. They only exist to assure the suits and shareholders that they're not twisting their thumbs up their asses but that they're actually working on something big that will (probably) be financially successful, and thus good for said shareholders.

While at ND, she is credited for the concept of Uncharted. Co wrote UC1, UC2,3 and parts of 4. All iconic ND games. Games that helped put Sony Studios at the forefront of narrative , action packed games. A series that also sold more than TLOU. Working on BF and Shitspoken, she was still probably grumpy and needed a paycheck.

Ah dangit, that trailer where two ladies were having a skype call for 5 minutes really got me excited!!

(It's hard to care about any of this without having seen a shred of actual, you know... gameplay for this videogame)

Sony studios have wasted so much time with this GAAS stuff this gen.
ND will likely release a single new game this gen...6 or 7 years after the launch of the console.
Bluepoint released a remake as a launch title and with the recent cancellation of their GAAS project we probably won't see anything new from them for at least 3-4 years
Bend released their last game 6 years ago and we probably also won't see anything from them for another 3-5 years.

Through failed GAAS projects, many of their studios are now in a position where they release a new game once a decade.

Forspoken was written by Allison Rymer and Todd Stashwick.
Hennig and Gary Whitta's are only credited as having worked on the "original story concept", Whitta has said basically nothing of what he wrote made it into the final game.

This is an extremely bad take.

Neil has released TLOU 1 (and if you don't count TLOU 1 as an ND-under-Neil product), ND has also released Uncharted 4, Uncharted Lost Legacy, and TLOU 2 within a few years. All critically and commercially successful games.

What has Amy Henning done in the meanwhile again?

Good, I don't want to be insulted with another brain fuck like tlou2 again, but if I have to be, at least it is far off from this day.

I recently tried to play Lost Legacy again. I can't play that or any uncharted. The climbing gameplay is just so choregraphed and boring and the shooting is just so simplistic, like worse than the copy in Astrobot. I'm no longer sure why I ever liked ND to begin with. I think it was the story and only the story from TLOU1 that is the only thing they ever made that I loved.

Guess the PS6 is some way off then since ND don't usually get off their asses until the final year.

Also who are all these people following Druckman round waiting for him to say nothing as usual?

2026-27 seems obvious. Sony had to cut down their release schedule after the cancellations, so Lost Soul Aside, Ghost of Yotei & DS2 are 2025's big published games. 2026 should be Fairgame$, Horizon Online, Wolverine, Intergalactic. Then there's the fact we're all anticipating GTA 6, whenever that comes...
