Of course i will, i never gave much of a fuck about nd stories and characters so the idea of controlling a bald goblin in what is gonna be a derivative, shitty guardian of the galaxy re-hash doesn't really stop me at all if the production values, animations and combat are at least decent.

Same

I'm like that for most games.

Its like...what am I doing and is it fun? lol

I like the general concept in terms of gameplay design with games and story being good is a bonus, but rarely a deciding factor for me.

No matter their politics their games play well and they provide an experience rarely seen from any other dev.

So i am saying

Hell yes....i can look beyond the main character

I need more developers allowing me to blow someone's knee caps off with a shotgun lol

No i like having a decent story with good charas but since i never really enjoyed any nd story or character except maybe joel and crash, i already prepare myself to have a similar experience with this one.

I'm usually absolutely spent and done when i complete a fromsoft game because playing 100 hours without knowing what the fuck i'm even doing or without giving a fuck about any chara take a toll on me., but nd games are not 100 hours long so only playing for the production values, animations and combat is way more doable.

The last ND game that I bought was Uncharted 2. Everything after that, I played on PS+.

I will not buy this game. The reveal didn't change my plans.

The name is truly awful.

From what we’ve seen so far I have zero strong feelings either way.

Not enough for me to make any decision yet so I’m sitting tight until we know more.

I need more gameplay.

Also some form of glamour option like in Witcher 3. I don’t hate the bald look, it’s just not what I prefer for my male or female characters.

Could this not fit?
Remains to be seen.

Tony Stark is a brilliant middle-aged white male weapon dealer billionaire. His arrogance in the beginning of his journey is plausible because of his accomplishments. And it's counterbalanced with humor, wit and tons of charisma.

The problem with bald girl is 1) that her arrogance is through the roof without any counterbalancing whatsoever, and 2) there is no justification for the arrogance in the trailer. She is not plausible.

She like a broke 20-something who lives in her parents’ basement, constantly brags about her genius, and looks down on others despite having no accomplishments.

Why it fails?

Because there's no external justification for her attitude, like wealth, success, intelligence.

She's just a stupid little brat.

I'm not saying that Naughty Dog can't turn this around. But they're definitely in for a tough challenge.

If it's a good game of course. I wish Sony decided to push this for a secret level episode instead of Concord. This dialogue clip was infinitely more interesting than a hot sauce loving alien story.

Considering I have yet to see any real gameplay, I haven't made a final decision yet. That being said, as others have said, the main character seems like an obnoxious, smug, bratty, gender fluid, Gen Z type, that I'm not interested in thus far.

The thing is there are rules for modern story telling(if you choose to follow them, and Naughty Dog certainly have),and that means we already know broadly how things will be in this game, strong women with no flaws, weak pathetic men, white men bad, ethnic people good......it's all so antithetical to good story telling, there will be no surprises here.Of course gameplay wise they might innovate and do something new and fresh(that would be nice),but the reality is story wise the whole thing is already tired and played out.

Still going to wait and see, the setting isn't super interesting to me from that trailer. Looks like a hub planet from Outlaws, will reserve judgement on the combat but melee with sword is a bit too close to me playing Jedi. But this is probably still a year out so still wait and see.

I have more reservations about the gameplay than the art/graphics for sure.

Of course, if it shows a promising experience.

What am i, a fucking retardo not to buy a game just because it features a woman with short hair? Lol

You know damn well it's a walky talky cinematic presentation game

So you're tired of what... cutscenes? No one here knows what this game will be, how it will be presented and how it will play out. We have only the smallest hint from this trailer and the tidbits that've been shared so far.

Because a 20 year track record going back to uncharted is really going to change overnight into a gameplay focused title?

There's a vast difference between an assumption and knowing. Which one applies to you in this scenario?

Who's saying anything about something happening overnight? Do you think they mocked up this game last week on a whim?

Meh.. AAA gaming is incredibly boring nowadays. Outside of "Souls" (and even those are getting a bit stagnant) and a few rare exceptions , only a few indies manage to keep me interested for more than a couple of hours.

You know what you're getting with a ND game and that's as follows.

1: Production values out the ass with phenomenal mocap, phenomenal voice acting, phenomenal combat, and phenomenal graphics/animations.

2: You're getting a polished experience that rivals rockstar in terms of optimization and quality from the top down.

3: You're getting an experience that only a few developers can deliver to you in the entire industry.

So yes i'm interested in the game and i most likely will be buying it day one because i know what to expect when i see the naughty dog logo.

I'm in the category of needing to see more before I decide. To be fair I will likely buy it regardless because I am bipolar and when I get manic I buy the dumbest shit like Veilguard.

Exposing the sinister cartel of retailers who allow companies to pay for advertising space.
It's crazy to me that many here dismiss a new IP in a dope setting with badass influences from the world's most technically skilled developer because the protagonist isn't hot enough.

Day zero.

It's because the trailer was boring, the retro-80ies setting old hat (GotG did it first), the main protagonist both unappealing and abrasive, the product placement ridiculous and the gameplay non existent. Naughty Dog is a tier 1 western games developer, but they didn't sell me the game with this specific trailer. In fact, it had the complete opposite reaction. I dislike it vehemently, not just for how bad it is, but also because of the high hopes I had for a brand new SF IP from the Naughty Gods. And then you get this crap. :messenger_unamused:

The thing is that this trailer doesn't tell us much of the game besides introducing the main protagonist and showing a scripted fighting scene that's only a few seconds long. Hopefully new trailers are much, much different and show the main character in a different light - but personally I'm not hopeful. I wouldn't want to play a game as Jordan A. Mun. if she's like that throughout the game. That would be a pass, no matter how good the gameplay is and visuals are. I don't want to spend time with virtual characters I dislike so much that I almost want to smash my TV/PC monitor.

Need to see more, open world slashers are so old at this point, but dont even know if that is what this is. The trailer didnt show enough. If its woke then I wont buy it no matter how good its meant to be. Having said all this, I havent played a ND game that didnt impress me

I probably don't understand the meaning of word ugly, because I don't see how she can be considered ugly and if it is a fun adventure game with interesting gameplay variety, then sure, I will consider it. I dislike Druckmann as a writer, because of he is smugly so deep up its own ass and not in a good way as he just blatantly copies great writers in literature and cinema.

Need to see more, I dont like the "il do what I want, tough guy" tone the main man gives off. If the gameplay looks good then il jump in a few yrs down the line on a sale.

Oh brother

They also don’t make games that control like ass like Rockstar. Not every dev has the same strengths
That weight/feel of your character is intentional though. It's meant to feel more realistic & you may not like it but it adds for some amazing/funny ragdoll moments. Also you are right, they definitely don't have the same strengths. Why I thought it was a bad call to say they Rival R*.
