Is there a way to link two routers?
Like, I have a friend downstairs (apt. complex) with wireless internet..

He has a router, I have a router...

Is there a way to redistribute his signal thru my router so I can plug in my Cat 5 cord and run LiVe from my router up here?

It sounds like you want to set up a wireless bridge.

Your routers need to be configured as bridges. Check your user manuals. Some can do it, others can't.

you'd only want one of the routers to be a bridge... and have the bridge hooked up to one of the lan ports, not upload.

edit: do you mean you want your router to connect wirelessly with his?

Yup, get a bridge. Connect the output of the bridge to the WAN input on your router.

Be careful that your bridge doesn't take down the speed of his network. Try to get one that's the same speed (i.e. 54Mbps, 11Mbps, etc.) and has the same encryption (WEP, WPA) as his router.
