Before I played the game I would have thought that was crazy talk. Before. This game will create better people and promote unity, love and general respect for all life. I sincerely thank the creators
Haha, was watching a playthrough video on youtube. Here's a way the internet can tarnish even this wonderful experience.

So tempted to get a PS+ membership just to get this game early, even though I've got Mass Effect 3 to play through.

How much is the PS+ Membership on the UK store? Very close to pulling the trigger and going for this tonight
£12 for three months.
£10Oh, less than expected!
How much is Journey?
You get Trine 2 and Sly 1 HD for free too, enjoy.takemymoney.gif
Ending spoiler:You know how during the credits you turn into a ball of light traveling back through the game? You can actually see them while playing so you know when someone has beaten the game.

my mind was blown by this
Interesting. Would you say solo is the ideal first play? Or would co-op be an equally good, but different first play...I'm glad I played solo my first time; the second time with a companion was a dramatically different experience.

I consider the "can games be art" debate finally settled once and for all with Journey.
I loved Flower, but this is such an advance in every way.
I was surprised how unobtrusive it feels. On paper I'd have said that was a bad idea, it's an unneeded barrier to content, but they do an excellent job of having any specific one be easily accessible. And how awesome is this game's "Chapter Select"? Even THAT is evocative.
One thing I do find strange about it however is there is a second level selection-esque hub area within the game. Given the progression of that environment, it makes sense, but it struck me as unusual.

fffuuuuu
At the end of the tower environment, you're surrounded by the same hub style design, except with lithographs instead of the glowing level images.Wait, what are you referring to? I'm confused. :/
Nope, none in the last level.Hah, wait a minute, not only are there glowy things on, but I got them all? How the heck did I manage that?level 6, which is the snow level, right
I do wish you could find out what glowy things you were missing while selecting the chapter though. They could've set it up just like they do at the end of each chapter, with the marks glowing on the bottom of the stone tablet.

With the exception of, I think you can go back and get any that you missed if you reach the shrine at the end and see that you missed any.The Sunken City
