I don't know what you guys are talking about. It seems like Smackdown this Friday will be a great way to celebrate everything that is right and just in America.

A good point, bud. A true Patriot would show up for the July 4th celebration. A patriot like Jack Swagger. I guess the current champion thinks he's too good for America.

So much crappy booking... I'd be lying if I said there weren't quite a few significantly entertaining moments, though.

Someone got mad about someone else not hiring them. People with a crazy cult fanbase got mad at said person for being dumb but ended up looking even dumber in the process.

Yeah, I've been keeping tabs on that.

I was going to say something on Twitter/in that thread, but the thread got closed and Twitter seems like hell right now, so...Omerta?

This may seem crass, but the situation seems entirely of her own design and the fault for the whole thing is entirely on her in the first place. She started it, was a total dick to a guy for no reason, caught a TON of absolutely unnecessary heat, double down, tried to fight back, gave up, then kept giving up for the next 12 hours while trying to explain why she was a dick to that guy in the first place and not addressing the actual problem.

It was a goddamn mess. Both sides handled it extremely poorly, but I can't feel too much sympathy for her since she was pretty clearly looking for a fight, got one, and is now on a sabbatical from games because of a reactionary pile-on.

Dan Ryckert is the coolest man on the planet with pretty much the greatest job on the planet. Hiring him was the best choice Giant Bomb has done. That Jason dude seems alright also. All this bs about diversity is all it is, bs.

the amount and naturre of abuse that lady took was out of line, but her counter argument of telling people to go fuck themselves after asking legitimate questions was dumb.

everyone is just being dumb to everyone.

and this is the bad dumb.

not the good dumb, like this thread.

That was the part that bugged me most about the outrage: Ryckert was clearly their dream get, and I'm guessing his condition was to bring along his video guy.

I said this in the GB thread: Who the fuck is more qualified than him? Name someone. Fuck gender, race, creed, religion, etc. Just name someone.

The shitstorm was entirely of her own design, and it's what she wanted, until it turned back in her face. Which ONLY happened after she showed she wasn't willing to actually have a discussion on the matter and was more concerned with just lighting people the fuck up on Twitter. Her Twitter game is not that fierce compared to some of the fucking terrifying people around.

It's real easy to get at someone's weak points, but most of us simply choose not to.

Basically my thoughts on the matter.

I've decided to stay away from the thread/GB threads until this whole thing blows over, because pretty much everyone gets banned in those kinds of threads. Not worth it.

well said lol

I don't own any wrestling memorabilia at all. If you do, post what you own.

There you go:
Daniel Bryan, in his ring gear, came out and cut a promo in front of the fans in Newark, NJ at tonight's Smackdown taping, shooting an anti-smoking PSA where he thanks a fan by name for their support. The commercial will show that the fan was so addicted to smoking that he missed his hero thank him because he was outside the Arena smoking. After filming the PSA, Bryan reiterated that he would be back as soon as he could and might have to undergo another surgery. He then thanked everyone for their support.

Don't forget that the commercial described it as 'missing the greatest moment of his life.' Not graduating college, not getting married, not having kids, but missing Daniel Bryan. That was the greatest moment of his life that he missed.

If meeting D.Brine is the greatest moment of his life, I'm pretty sure the bolded items never happened.

Listening to Jim Ross interview Ronda Rousey.

"What is BJJ?"
"...panty droppers?"
"Help a brother out to feel more masculine."

This movie is the most insane thing I've ever seen. It is INCREDIBLE. Truly. It defies credibility.
