Aren't all the games fairly similar anyway? I think what put OOE over the top for most people was Shanoa
Shanoa does look pretty cool, but I thought it was it's seeming blend of "classicvania" with linear-ish levels, and "metroidvania" style gameplay.
Wow, almost $2M already! All this talk has me hyped to replay SOTN and *finally* get around to all the DS games. I played and finished all the GBA ones, but I think series fatigue kicked in and while I bought all the DS ones, I never did play/finish them, barely getting an hour into the first one. Can't wait to finally get into 'em.
I really should play any of the games besides SotN, it's the only Castlevania of this type that I've played, though it was enough to make me a fan of Igarashi.
Have you played Valdis Story? It's got a pretty good combat system.
Is this game really good? I'd like to play it on something other than PC, but if that is the only place it will ever be then I might get it there. Seems likely that it won't come to anything else, like my preferred option of Vita, since it came out a while ago with no word.
Are you thinking of Circle of the Moon maybe?
After some research,
maybe I am? I had heard that OoE was developed at least by an unusual team from the other most recent (at the time) games in the series, rather than Igarashi's standard team. I thought I had heard he didn't have much influence on it either, but I really do not know.
A dreemer must dreem!
Ah, Iga, or some say Igavania...
Lol, what are you even referencing (if anything).
BTW, just a quick question since I don't have much knowledge regarding Kickstarter funding paces and longevity, do most keep at least a pretty steady pace for most of their campaign if they get this big already? Do we expect them to slow down to a good $300,000 a week from now until the funding ends now, or quicker/slower?
Man, the Bloodstained tumblr is awesome.
Yeah, and you can get this cool wallpaper from the background, a little over 1600x900. It's replaced my Xenoblade X wallpapers for now, will probably switch back once we get US release news, I can't be completely loyal to Bloodstained

.
Oh, and I hope a stretch goal includes a live orchestral (not simulated) option for the soundtrack. From the samples, notably Ippo Yamada's I hope they also tighten up the composition a bit (the violin seems a bit busy/disruptive). I also hope we can get some songs like the
end theme of SotN, or the menu themes of
DXC/Rondo of Blood and
SotN
