That's crazy to me, i feel like they have more than ever both in original themes (Creator, City, etc.) and they've exploded in the licensed themes.
And just in general I feel like the quality of the sets have gone up quite a lot. I was looking through a list of all the old Star Wars sets and was surprised and how basic a lot of the old sets were

I am now convinced that Lego Ideas is some kind of backdoor franchise popularity test for Dimensions. There have now been a bunch of franchises that got Ideas sets with 10,000 votes that didn't get approved that are in Dimensions now:
Goonies, Wizard of Oz, Adventure Time, A-Team, Knight Rider, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Doctor Who, (I know they also got Ideas sets but still), Portal, Sonic the Hedgehog, and probably one or two more I can't think of right now.
I feel like it's a little bit weird if they are doing this, but at the same these are properties that either don't deserve full themes or where full sets or themes wouldn't sell well enough to offset the cost. Also it means we get real Lego versions of the characters with unique specialized moulds that wouldn't be possible in Lego Ideas sets.
I bet there will be Yellow Submarine Dimensions packs for Series 3. They've gotta offset the cost of that license, they can do a Story Pack that covers the movie and turns the Portal into a Sgt Pepper stage with a drum set, with Paul Minifig (with guitar) and Micro-Build of the sub. Then there'd be a Team Pack with George (with a horn) and John (with a guitar) with a brick-built Blue Meanie and Nowhere Man, and the Fun Pack would be Ringo with a brick-built Glove. All the Beatles would be their Sgt Pepper versions to make them unique from the Yellow Submarine Ideas set. Set all 4 up on the Portal for a Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band display!
I also feel like, if they're allowed to use the rights since they made the first movie but not the sequel, Pacific Rim could be in Series 3. WB is going balls-in with their franchises, it's had multiple failed Ideas sets (because they're mostly all terrible and what scale do you even build them in, can't be Minifig scale and Lego wouldn't make a set/sets with only Micro/Nanofigs). Level Pack of Ralegh with Micro-Build Gypsy Danger and brick-built Knifehead, Team Pack with Stacker and Mako with Micro-Build of Striker Eureka and brick-built Slattern.
I'm extremely stoked to see Lego City Undercover come back, that's awesome. Also I figured Gremlins would only be a Level Pack or even just a Fun Pack but that Series 2 banner shows a Spike Minifig so maybe it will be a Team Pack of Gizmo and Spike? Like how Jurassic World and Scooby-Doo didn't get full levels but they did get Team Packs and Hub Worlds. I wonder WTF the Micro-Builds will be for Gremlins!?
So now that we know about Story Packs let's take a look at that list again:
Harry Potter has 2 sets, a Team Pack with Harry and Voldemort, and then what? Either a Fun Pack, a Level Pack, or a Story Pack. I doubt it's Story Pack as there've been multiple Lego HP games already and Fantastic Beasts is getting one at the end of the year. I'm assuming it will be a Fun Pack but who will they include, Ron or Hermione? Would they possibly do a second Team Pack for the same franchise, so that they could have the Main Three and Voldemort?
There's also THREE Adventure Time sets. We've seen a Level Pack and a Team Pack, I can only assume that the third will be a Fun Pack because I doubt any franchise will get a Level Pack AND a Story Pack. But who will the Minifig be? Ice King? Princess Bubblegum? Marceline? Would they do another Team Pack and have PB and Marcy as the minifigs with a brick-built Ice King and Lady Rainicorn? I mean honestly WTF was the idea behind doing LSP's fucking car over Lady Rainicorn in that pack!? The car that's been used in exactly one episode all the way back at the start of Season 1?

Would it be a Team Pack with 2 more GBs, leaving the 4th one out of having a 2nd print?
Also WTF are the Connectables!?

They sure do. Lego has various Creative Brick Boxes which are just big boxes full of generic pieces.
Though back in the day, I'd always just build whatever the instructions were for the first time around, then strip down my sets for parts to use in whatever I'd think up next.

Teen Titans were in there. The TTG version of Beast Boy says "I'm the Fantastic Beast Boy" but gets cut off before he can say "Boy" and the main character from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them captures him in his suitcase. It's right at the end.
And TTG only has 2 sets to its name so they're either 2 Fun Packs, one of Beast Boy and one of Raven, or there's a Team Pack and something else, but it looks like if you want a full TTG-styled team you're SOL and if you wanted a normal looking Raven to go with the rest of your normal looking Teen Titans you're SOL too. :\

The TTG designs are really close to the original Teen Titans designs basically anyways so and then being legofied on top of that I don't see that big of an issue. I'm hoping for a Raven/Beast Boy team pack (because that is so fitting) and then a level pack with a hopefully unreleased character, Terra?? Please?! Trigon big fig level pack? Speedy, Aqualad? So many choices.

Beetlejuice could be literally anything, if it just him as a Fun Pack with a Hub World? Is he in a Team Pack with Lydia Deets? Does he get a Level Pack? Is it based off the Animated Series, or the movie?
If we go off the A-Team I'd imagine Knight Rider and ET will only get Fun Packs, but then Mission: Impossible got a Level Pack so would one of them? Both of them? What would a Hub World or Level Pack for Knight Rider even look like?

It IS kinda bugging me though... I mean, i am trying to get together a TT vignette and even with current Cyborg it doesn't look right! Robin, BB, and Starfire are all the classic design from the first show, and Cyborg looks...off. So Raven will look out of place as well there i guess. Still better than nothing obviously.

You'll get long winding Highways in the desert that you can take K.I.T. to and cruise around all day long, then you will stop by the Foundation villa, run upstairs and take on a mission straight from Devon, chilling in his chair, all with that awesome Foundation theme running on loop in the background. After that you can have K.I.T. repaired in the black Foundation truck and accept missions/flirt from/with April (and/or Bonnie). Then you're gonna race RC3 on his black bike for a gold brick. Maybe even top it off with a visit to the Casino and play a game of dice vs Garthe Knight!
Beyond that....i got nothing. But hey, i can see this much so i'm sure they can come up with some more, right?

Spike is in the top right and Gizmo is bottom middle under the word "going"
Also lol at using a Jaws reference as the tagline for Series 2, like they'd ever let that franchise into Dimensions.

I'm reasonably sure that everything in that banner is gonna be part of actual Dimensions packs.
But that brings up something I was wondering about earlier today...
We have bootleg knockoffs of just about every X-Men character that's been in a movie at this point, as well as several comic-exclusive characters or costumes too. Bootleg companies have also made figures based off game-exclusive figures by using their in-game models and textures as sources...
Why haven't there been any bootleg Dimensions figures? If there are a lot of non-physical characters that show up in Dimensions Series 2 bootleggers better get their shiz in gear and start pumping out more stuff. If they don't make Marceline or Princess Bubblegum or any of the other main Adventure Time characters but they show up in the game they NEED to step in and fill the gap. I'm still waiting on further bootleg dinosaurs based off the models in Lego Jurassic World ):<

Been home sick the last two days, but actually felt well enough to be sitting up for a bit today so I got some building done.
Sadly, now I really want to keep going, but my wife is going to bed and the LEGO room is right next to the spare bedroom she has been sleeping in since I got this cold. So no more building tonight for me, as it would make too much noise. Dammit.

How much noise do you make from building Lego? I reckon the main noise comes from the initial organizing of the bricks by color/type. The building itself shouldn't have much noise. Maybe I'm just used to doing things quietly.

Seeing minifigs I thought would never happen is great. Here's hoping Peanuts and Snoopy somehow make it into LEGO Dimensions. Then follow it up with a CMF series.

I'm glad I went with the Eclipse Fighter (75145) instead. That ship looks absolutely sleek. The prints on the minifigs are amazing.
