I finished the Pet Shop today and I love it. It's my third modular since discovering them in January with the Brick Bank. I'm pre-sad that I'll be out of new sets to build before too long if I keep this pace up.

^ I just recently did the same thing lol. Finally broke down and got into the modulars last November, and built 4 in a 4 month period (Pet Shop, Cinema, Restaurant, Detective's Office). Was definitely a fun time!

Still haven't picked up the Brick Bank...I will probably wait for the November double points period. And by then there will already be a new one announced probably!

I actually like always having at least 1 big set that I'm anticipating getting. Helps me pace myself with the buying part.

It is 2 L bricks with 2x2s under them to attach to the SNOT and go over the 2x2 tile. Then cheese slopes and the armrest style piece underneath.
That's what I had understood, but many thanks for the details.

The whole build is just lovely...

Edit: Hmmm, the Camper is only slightly longer so I'm assuming they're not in scale.
I're read they use they same chassis, so that may mean they're in scale.

Phon: Did you say the hairs were intentional? (the one under the bin and the one creeping out under that urinal in the last pic) Because if so, that's a pretty ingenious touch to the whole dirty realistic restroom theme :p

That Beetle looks good but somehow i am not blown away just yet... Either way, leagues better than the last one that's for sure!

I stopped by my local LEGO store in San Jose and saw this beauty that I wasn't aware of before.

People were literally staring at this thing with an awestruck expression. I saw quite a few people asking questions about it.

I'm thinking of getting it, but it's about twice the size of the Batman Tumbler so space will be an issue.

I also changed the tampon dispenser to make it look less like a face. Might still mess with the bottom more.

Also changed the flushers in the urinals. Made em gray and added a stud. I think they are an improvement.

Don't forget the Mini Cooper!

I can't get enough of looking at this model. I think it's brilliant!

Do physical stores get the early vip sets? If so, how many? Can't go til after work tomorrow, so probably out of luck?

And my mom found this in a box in the basement. Basically my main lego toy growing up with some fire dept. sets. The peg-leg hook-hand pirate and the skeleton guy were so cool. Need to clean off that dust, lol

EDIT: Okay, those aren't the same pieces I was thinking off. So those are new pieces then?
I don't know them, for all that worth. But I really, really want a couple, I can forecast a lot of uses. Where would bricklink put them?

Also, it's nice (although at first glance, I thought it closer to a 2CV than a Beetle), but the price is great, too. I guess it'll be a bit more here than the 89€ in Germany, but still.

At least we don't have a circular sticker to apply on this set. God, that was nerve wracking on the camper.

Man, Mike Psiaki is really knocking them out of the park! Between this, Vacation Getaways, the F40 & Blue Power Jet, he's really carving out a nice little niche for himself.

Still, fingers crossed that he's working on finishing an official version of his UCS Millennium Falcon.

I really liked the Eclipse build. It has some interesting techniques and I was never bored.

I really enjoyed this build too! I ended up building it out of the spare parts I had lying around (mostly out of other Star Wars sets), so mine is a palette swap to light bluish grey & dark red. It's a pretty neat design, and I would've immediately swapped the colours to the original Blacktron palette if they made the canopy piece in trans-yellow...

Same dude? Damn. He is killing it.

That's exactly what I thought it looked like, but having seen the video it looks better.
I have the mini and Ferrari, so I need to decide if I really want/need the camper van.

I think I'll simply order the Camper and the Beetle at the same time. If the former sells out before then, I might look around the local shops, but I'm in no hurry.

I like how he puts his name on the license plate. Very cool.

Dimensions Twitter showed off the Lego City Undercover Dimensions set. I wonder if they will show off any more of the sets past wave 1 this week.

Also my impulse ordered Brick Bank from last week arrived today along with my free fountain. Between that, Slave one and GB HQ boxes I can no longer get into my closet. I won't be able to change my clothes till I build something.

Windshield stickers on the sides again. Oh, well.

I foresee a lot of color mods for this coming down the line. The only problem is those wheel covers don't come in many colors.

I may be wrong but like on the F40, those window stickers may be printed... Hard to tell for me from the pic... Either way, the set is still impressive!

11 inches tall and 10 inches long?... Is that possible, or could that be the Surfboard vertical next to the parked Bug? I wonder.

It's an error (look at the centimeters), it's 6" high.

OH MY GOD

I love the Camper, Mini-Cooper, and Ferrari. These Lego Creator car sets are so much fun to put together, even as someone who knows very little about cars. The Camper is probably my favorite system set I own.

Q .. how does the lego shop VIP early access stuff work?

do kits with a public release date automatically appear earlier if your account is VIP or there is a different way to get them.
thanks.

As long as you are a VIP and signed in on the website, at about midnight EST tonight, the early access stuff should show up. And if it doesn't show on the main page, go to the product page and refresh it a few times and it should be there.

Hmm, I'm noting that the clips holding the cargo bars on the roof have the older straight edges. I thought all new vertical clips had changed to be C formed?

are there any other pics of that apollo 11? That looks great but I'd like an idea of the scale of it. Could be a great companion piece to my shuttle
I think the submission is something like 1 meter tall, no doubt it'll change much before the release...

I don't see why it would. LEGO would know that people voted for that based on the scale and features of it, and so cutting them could harm sales, and it passed review as a 1m tall set so why change it? I thought design changes were generally quite minor in Ideas sets based on available parts, etc, rather than complete overhauls that just keep the idea itself.
