Only jewelry I have are the stud in my left ear which I've had for a lone, long time as well as a pendant. Although I don't wear the pendant since I need to replace the necklace cord/string/whatever.

My first forum was a Rurouni Kenshin fan forum. I was such a little spammer. ~150 posts a day at one time. It's a good time I got that out of my system before I came to GAF; I probably would've gotten banned as a junior. Several times. :x

My first forum was a Power Ranger fan forum. Then I went for a long time without one until I got on Gaf.

Nintendo's NSider forums that they had from 2003-2007.
Although I was only a moderator for the last year or two they were there.

Ahh!

I only have my sig bar saved from those magical days..

I remember nsider! Really great articles, but I specially loved the banners, the only time I ever contacted staff was to know the sources for them but they couldn't answer.

That sig reminds me my crazy oversized gamespot sig, those days haha (it looks MUCH better in dark backgrounds like in gamespot forums hehe)

That looks really good. I want it. :p
The thing that bugs me about watches is that they can be so expensive, so when you get one it's one you stick with for a long time. Well, I'm someone that really enjoys variety. Which is the main reason I hate tattoos. You end up with the same tattoo forever. How boring. I wish I could have different kinds off watches every once in a short while just to switch it up. Kinda like clothes.
I went with the silver watch because it goes with almost everything when you dress nicely.

If it helps any, I bought my watch on eBay. That particular model of watch originally retailed for $600-$700. I paid $280 for it brand new, because Citizen had slightly more updated and marginally better looking variations of that same watch model, and so there were still some older versions being sold at discount prices. Since they run on solar power, their being older was irrelevant to me.

Not buying that fat first gen model for sure. Maybe they'll compel me with round 2. And I'm a huge fan of the ecosystem.
I'm way too deep into the ecosystem. Macbook Air, iPod, iPhone 6, Airport Extreme, Apple TV, etc.

Everything talks to each other with such ease.

I've always been a GAF stan, never got into anyone else. Learned about Gaming-Age forums from Marty Chin in Usenet.

I read GAF for years before joining. It was weird when I finally joined, because I had spent most of my time lurking Gaming Side, but I spent most of my time on OT once I joined.

My first forum was a Power Ranger fan forum. Then I went for a long time without one until I got on Gaf.

I had (have) a GameFAQs account after that; I was on one of the social boards and GAF at the same time for a number of years. I left after it started degenerating from lack of new people and poor moderation, though.

And then I joined two Christian forums in 2007 - TheologyOnline and ChristianForums - because I wasn't getting nearly enough opportunity to argue about gay rights with people on GAF, and I was feeling feisty~. ChristianForums was actually a perfectly friendly place - I spent most of my time in the Ethics and Morality section since that was the section for arguing with people, and at the time it actually had a fairly even blend on Christian perspectives (basically the gamut from supportive to craaaazy) and non-Christian perspectives (basically supportive). TheologyOnline, on the other hand.... Well, a quarter of them supported the death penalty for homosexuals. They were sometimes more fun, though.

Fun
for me
fact: Casino Royale is my favorite movie.
Um. What.

Excellent taste. Dude, that was my first Blu-Ray purchase. Such a good movie.

Terminator 2 is my second favorite film. The helicopter-bridge scene is ridiculous.

Edit: May as well name number three while I'm at it: Finding Nemo.

That is actually pretty interesting. The only reason I left my PR forum was because the people in charge became pretty corrupt and we had a bit of a takeover and kicked the guy out. After that the place just slowly disbanded when yet another guy took over and changed it to it's own forum. I met my two best straight male friends there and then met one for the first time when he invited me to be in his wedding.

Same situation for me. I lurked Gaming-side - mostly SalesAge - since probably like 2008.

Finally decided to register to be able to post, and now I'm mainly on OT.

And, have had an account there since 2000.

I mainly like that they have specific boards for basically every game ever.

It's depressing seeing a forum fall apart. The Kenshin forum had a forum move, and it just never recovered after that. I half-wish GameFAQs forums archived themselves instead of purging, if only because I had about as many over-done posts there as I did here and it'd be nice if I still had them.

If I recall, you were roommates with a Gaffer as well?

Yes, excelforward. I introduced him to the site! He used to post pretty regularly but sort of fell off. He's who I visit when I go to Chicago.

I was involved in a whole lot of forums, but the precursor to gaf for me was 1up. That was a fun forum I guess. I then kept seeing gaf mentioned on the forums and they'd sometimes mention it on the podcasts. I finally checked it out and lurked for a bit. Once the 1up boards started dying out, I thought about joining gaf. I saw they had quite a few gay members, and I wanted to feel free to post about all the gay topics I wanted and not be so reserved, so I signed up with a username I had never even used before. That's why _Isaac doesn't match my username on Skype or anywhere else. I think I had just played Golden Sun at the time, because I don't know why else I would've chosen _Isaac.

I more or less did the same thing.

First forum... nick.com message boards, probably. After that... somewhere I'd rather not mention due to being a staff member of it.

Oh, is that where your name comes from? I got the Golden Sun DS game recently, and I was sort of disappointed with it, especially since I remembered the GBA games being so much fun.

My first forum was from a browser game called PowerSoccer (power football) back then. I had a lot of friends there. I remember I wanted to be a Chat Admin (there were chat rooms too) but I was very young so I instead wanted to be a Forum Admin but was rejected. I eventually became a Language Admin there and it was fun till I was banned, lol. Your name would have a nice green font with your title in it. Then I was playing wizard101, and joined their forum Wizard101central. It was fun too, made lots of friends. Central eventually died amd I lost interest in w101. Then I was just in IGN trolling, being annoying and spamming gifs. I would also use my Disqus account to go into Charisma news (a conservative Christian news site) and troll in every homophobic article they had. I was eventually banned from their site. They were not fond of shirtless guy gifs. I also was active in some GameFaq boards like the Dragon's Dogma PS3 community. And now I'm in Gaf, and as you guys can see I am a very mature poster

Yeah I was pretty upset that it died. I had such a solid community of friends there and losing contact with so many of them was pretty bad. I wish the forum was still up tho cause I had some silly posts on there and used to be part of the "popular" crew lol

My first forum was Meristation, which is a Spanish webpage but then they discussed a lot of things about NeoGAF so I ended registering here because I neede to practice my english and there was a gay community.

My first forum was a Wii U forum lol.. No one knew what the console was called back then tho so it was probably around 2010 and I was 12 years old. Had a lot of fun in the chat there but a lot of threads that mentioned NeoGAF kept coming up so I checked it out. I did most of my lurking in the Wii U Speculation Thread until I got accepted and began posting in Gaming Side. Eventually a lot of stuff started bothering me (Thanks, Tumblr) and I started leaning more towards Community threads and here I am.

My first forum was.. Guess it... A Castlevania forum! The biggest one in spanish. Funds stopped and died just when hitting its stride, was a mod and everything :(

Then got to the Castlevania Dungeon forums and after that the next only logical step was the source of all info about the new Castlevania games, Gaf.

And here I am, rock you like a hurricane.

Lol I've lurked there and saw you. I feel like a stalker now.

Yeah. I still have a few people from the GameFAQs board that I'm friends with on AIM and talk to regularly to semi-regularly, and I'm friends with someone from the Kenshin forum on Facebook.

Also, revisiting Christian Forums just now is funny; I was just looking at my PMs from 2007 and came across this:

Me said:
You know, I'm curious, however. How do most of you people become moderators? You are the first moderator I've spoken to who is capable of stringing together more than five grammatically correct sentences. How on earth did some of these people become debate team moderators?

God, I sound like an angry PM complaint on GAF. :3

But I was right!

First forum was probably on Neopets or something.

I had a Neopets account in 1999~

I have no idea what happened to it, or what my name even was. :(

LOL that is way to similar to a Gaf post.

Yeah it's funny thinking I have talked to my friends for almost ten or so years. It hit me when my friend got married and just last year had his first child and named me one of her uncles.

Oh man, I knew you guys sounded familiar! Now I know why. Man, I miss NSider so much. It was a very fun forum, though with lots of nonsense going on, especially on the Revolution/Wii board which I guess was where I spent most of my time.

I made lots of friends there, and I still talk to them all the time. It also served as my first real English experience, I mean I was always bilingual but never really started to write or practice it until I joined the NSider forums. Man, what a nice burst of nostalgia.

Those were awesome times!

My first forum experience was, a Yu-Gi-Oh! one though I think. That was fun as well!

I think the first message board I was active on was Next Generation in late '96. Moderated one of the boards there, and can recall people posting about Gaming Age (what gaf is spun off from, for the real youngsters) around the time the Dreamcast was coming out.

my first forum was Animesuki.com, and I have a lot of embarrassing posts there heh I jumped to gamespot, planet GameCube now Nintendo world report and I ended up in gaf because in nwr it was actually against the rules to discuss sexual orientation.

My first love was video games above all but anime grabbed me in my teens, unfortunately certain trends (that have their own, long, exhausting threads even on gaf) made me give up on anime and come back home.

I also used to post on gametrailers.com when factions were a thing over there, that's where I really posted a lot and had lots of people to talk to and made quite a bit of friends, then they got rid of factions and the forums basically died.
