Lol I assume Gladiator was the last time Crowe read for a role. He was great in Nice Guys though, I like him in the schlubby hard edged fuck up role, not sure Cable would be a good fit for his strengths

This comparison is a great example of how Liefeld fell off as an artist. His early work on Hawk and Dove and New Mutants shows so much more effort and skill than the stuff he did after he became popular. Going back to when he had to bother trying to draw stuff you can see someone who had the potential to keep growing as an artist.

His weaknesses were all still there, but they are less glaring because he actually put in some effort back then.
