List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

I was dead set on buying the PS5 Pro until I thought of some things. I don't like the controller, I'm a small guy, 1. I have woman sized hands, the PS5 controller is a little too big for me. 2. It's not gonna be every single game optimized for the PS5 Pro. 3. Steam has over 100,000 games on Windows! 4. Games on Windows allows you to tweak the graphics, consoles don't. PC for me. More games, more tweaks.

New games added to the list every day. Love to see it. Cant wait to go back to some enhanced games after im done with the new releases. Still really want to see how AW2 or outlaws gonna look like
at this point i have deleted all my ps5 games and more or less using it as a streaming player the 7th can not get here fast enough.

Hoping for RT reflections instead of the horrible SSR mirrors or whatever that was. Game was highly inconsistent. Silent Hill 2 looks better on PS5 on quality than AW2 quality. They need to fix all that. Let’s see what the pro patch will bring.

I would prefer for them to go all in with a quality mode at 30fps then just PSSRing performance mode.

This game is unplayable at 30fps, the movement is already clunky as fuck, i tried to play quality at the time and instantly regretted.

The game heavily used mesh shaders, which caused the PS5 performance issues. The Pro should hopefully resolve that problem.

I can clearly say that I am back on the Sony wagon for sure now. I have my PC set for sale and am along the ride of a life time on PlayStation. As I've said before many times in the past. I always been with Sony and the PlayStation brand, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5 and onward. The PS5 Pro will be great as it has 70 or more games confirmed now going to be upgraded with the PS5 Pro console. Better frame rates, better resolution, more details added in.

As long as they fix the shimmering, I'm good.

PSRR alone should grant a huge image quality boost in this title.
On PS5 in this game the FSR implementation was borderline broken, the image could literally decompose in a cloud of shiny points (inside the chalet for example) where at times I questioned that the GPU in my PS5 was working properly.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the ray tracing improvements in the 30fps mode.
I don't think there was ray tracing at all on the standard PS5.

Fidelity mode unlocked with VRR will be glorious on the Pro.

💯. Now that I think about it, I think because the Sony first party games already run and perform so well in the Fidelity mode on the base PS5, it was probably a sensible and deliberate decision to focus the PSSR update on performance mode. The biggest weakness across all the modes would be the lower IQ in perf mode and the 30fps limit on Fidelity. PSSR performance address bot of these. Bringing the game from native 4K/30 locked to 4K/60 locked is probably too much for the PRO. But for VRR displays and unlocked FPS, delivering native 4K 50-60 will fit in the VRR range and deliver a convincing 4K/60fps fidelity mode

60 fps on the Pro 30 fps on regular PS5

What do you think of the PS5 Pro hardware? What's the single feature you were most impressed with?

It is a kind of natural evolution of the PS5 hardware, same paradigms but more processing power on the GPU and "ray tracing" cores. For us, the gain of about 50% more GPU processing power is the most interesting of course, as our game is GPU bound, not CPU bound.

Compared to the jump between PS4 Pro and PS4, would you say the PS5 Pro-PS5 difference is similar or reduced (e.g., the advancement is less pronounced)?

It seems comparable in terms of evolution philosophy. It is the same gen console but with better rendering capacities. Now, it is early and so hard to compare what the PS5 Pro will do for PS5 games to what the PS4 Pro did for PS4 games. But globally, it seems many games will go from 30 to 60 fps on the Pro version, and that's comparable to what we had on PS4 Pro. It will probably scale better for an engine version: most games today do not rely on frame rate to sync/time their simulations. So they are more capable of rendering faster without altering their behaviors.

On PlayStation 4, you still had fantastic games like Bloodborne, where the game can't run above 30 because the simulation is linked to the rendering. So if you don't modify the engine and render at 60 fps, then your game will run twice faster, all the game, so everything will be twice faster for the player. Such frame rate bound simulations were still relatively common in the PS4 era, and they made taking advantage of a GPU upscale much harder. So, possibly, PlayStation 5 games will take better advantage of the PS5 Pro's capacities. The fact that most games nowadays use a form of variable resolution also helps with scaling up the quality with the GPU.

How much of an improvement is there between the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions of the game? Also, how does the PS5 Pro version stack with the maxed-out PC game?

As said and as presented by Sony, it is expected that most games will double their frame rate on the Pro or improve scene quality if they were already running in 60 on a PS5. Still, maxed out PCs are kind of "no limit" so they will of course be more powerful, but you can't compare them. A maxed out PC is going to cost easily 3 to 5 times more and consume 3 to 5 times more electrical energy. But what is interesting and says a lot about the flattening silicon evolution curve is that your game on your monster PC is not going to look or play 3 to 5 times better than on a PS5 Pro console. There is a huge diminishing return now on high end silicon, and that might have an impact on the life cycle duration of console hardware.

Will there be different modes for the PlayStation 5 Pro version of Empire of the Ants?

No, there is a single 60 FPS mode, so double the frame rate of the PlayStation 5 version.

Are you using PSSR in Empire of the Ants?

We don't. It came very late in our development cycle for this game, so we stuck to the
Unreal equivalent.

Interesting that they're not doing the 'lower resolution and use PSSR' method to increase the framerate that a lot of Pro games are - it's simply brute force of the GPU to literally double the fps. To me, that's a promising indication of the extra grunt of the Pro, even without PSSR.

Maybe they'll add PSSR in a patch down the line to improve fidelity even more?

Its unbelievable to me that its not running Alan Wake 2 at 60fps using PSSR.

The Quality and Performance modes in Alan Wake 2 are upgraded on the PS5 Pro. They utilize Sony’s new “PlayStation® Spectral Super Resolution” aka PSSR upscaling method. To quote Sony’s marketing language, "PSSR is an AI-driven upscaling that uses a machine learning-based technology to provide super sharp image clarity by adding an extraordinary amount of detail."

Quality Mode

The PS5 Pro Quality mode features ray tracing, which isn't available on the base PS5 version of the game.
30fps with ray tracing
Ray traced reflections (opaque and transparent)
Output resolution 3840 x 2160 (4K)
Render resolution 2176 x 1224
Performance Mode

The Performance Mode on the PS5 Pro features significantly higher output resolution and has more visual detail compared to the base PS5. The Pro Performance mode uses approximately the same image quality (render) settings as the base PS5’s Quality mode.

The overall image stability, fog, volumetric lighting, and shadow accuracy have been improved on the Pro.
60fps
Using approximately the same render (image quality) settings as the base PS5 Quality mode.
Base PS5 Performance mode version runs at lower render (image quality) settings
Render resolution 1536 x 864
Output resolution 3840 x 2160 (4K)
Base PS5 version outputs 1440p

Whoa ...didn't think it would be on a videogame forumn where i'd see someone recognize who the goat of tennis still is ...ever sinve djokovic broke the grand slam record people have been mistakenly thinking he's the goat. Nope, Federer it will always be!

Nadal and Alcaraz are both goated too.
Humble champions ...it's Djokovic i can't stand.
Nadal won by being stubborn. He had more cojones than anyone and fight every ball. But his service was awful for half of his career and Federer made as much moving himself half the distances. Because he was about technique, not physical power. Alcaraz seems better in that regard, but not enough. Still makes us Murcian proud.

Who wants a Virtua Tennis 4?

I guess I have to see it all for myself, but starting to become underwhelmed. I mean most of the games getting patches already looked great.
