List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

Everytime I see this thread updated I enter hopping for Space Marine and I’m starting to get nervous…

I do not expect to see a game like this or Wukong be on time for the Pro launch to have their update(s). I do however believe that they are working on making updates to support Pro enhancements in the near future.

These dense games probably take more time to implement changes than others.

"For instance, Quality Mode benefits from more than a 30 percent increase in FPS, delivering smoother, more fluid gameplay. Additionally, Performance Mode now supports full native 4K resolution, allowing players to enjoy stunning visuals without sacrificing responsiveness," the developer said.
They also said they'll release more details soon.

Any idea of when this explosion is? Nearly 2 weeks til launch. Wanting to see if HD2, CP2077 & SM2 get patches and what SH could be like. Hell. They haven't really said what RE4 will run like on pro.

And the new boost mode.

Resident Evil 4 is a survival horror game with a ton of gameplay variety, built around the concept “Survival is just the beginning.” On PS5 Pro, the game runs at a higher framerate, making the dynamic action even more intense. Resident Evil 4 also uses the power of PS5 Pro for ultra-high-resolution technology, painting vividly realistic imagery brimming with detailed environments and more natural and beautiful visual effects than ever before.

I would imagine a best case scenario where Resolution Mode + RT + Hair Strands give stable 60fps on Pro.
Could be achieved by simply feeding the regular Frame Rate Mode to PSSR.

If by SM2 you mean Spider-Man 2 then we already know it's getting a patch.

Please correct me if you mean a different game.
Likely Space Marine 2.

Lies of P, the Pinocchio Soulslike from Neowiz and Round8, will be getting itself a PS5 Pro Enhanced label soon. Ahead of this, Lies of P director Jiwon Choi has shared a few details about what this will mean for the game with Eurogamer.

"At Round8, we always strive to deliver a polished and engaging experience with Lies of P, and we're grateful for the positive reception of the game's optimisation on all platforms," Choi told us.

"With the introduction of the PS5 Pro, we're excited to take that experience a step further, offering enhanced performance that we hope players will appreciate."

Here's our Zoe with her Lies of P thoughts. Watch on YouTube
The director said while he can't share all the specifics at the current time, Lies of P will benefit from noticeably improved frame rates when Lies of P's PS5 Pro update goes live.

"We believe that frame rate truly matters the most in a premium action RPG. The precision and fluidity required for this genre are critical to the combat experience. Thanks to the PS5 Pro's outstanding performance, we're able to maintain an optimal frame rate at 4K, ensuring the gameplay feels as smooth and responsive as it should."

Choi said the team is "hopeful these improvements will create an even more immersive experience for players, bringing the hauntingly beautiful world of Lies of P to life in ways gamers love".

"At times, Lies of P is clumsy and frustrating, but there's a solid core of Soulslike fun to be had and a few glimmers of greatness," reads our three out of five star Lies of P review. "It leaves me hoping that the team has the confidence to step out of From Software's shadow with their next game."

Nice. This is on PS Plus right now, correct?
Not sure honestly

Space Marine 2 was confirmed to get a patch by the devs last month. It may arrive after the launch though but they had talked with Sony about working with the Pro.

From ps4>ps5 and from xbox one>series x off the top of my head we never got updates for: sunset overdrive, ryse, the order, driveclub, quantum break, forza horizon 3, gears ultimate, gears 4 (it got 60 fps at the expense of using One S visuals at 1080p lol), dead rising 3, battlefield 4, mw 2019, Mafia remake, RDR2, dishonored 2, last guardian, shadow of collossus, gravity rush 2, ac unity, ac syndicate, ac black flag (ps4), ac ezio collection (ps4), little big planet 3, BLOODBORNE, far cry 4, watch dogs 1 and 2, far cry 3 classic ed, mgsv, dirt rally 1+2, dark souls 2+3, the EVIL WITHIN, Mafia 2 definitive ed, ARKHAM KNIGHT!, Deus Ex mankind divided and im sure many more
Yes, they did. Pretty sure several others in your list as well.

People need to have patience before definitively saying whether a game will or will not get Pro support. Final Fantasy XV, Resident Evil 7 and Fallout 4 took about 3 months after the PS4 Pro's release to get their Pro patches.
Huh, I'm sure both FFXV and REVII had enhanced PS4 Pro support at launch. I think in FFXV's case they were just making further improvements in the coming months.

FF XV had a performance mode (unlocked framerate) and quality mode. RE VII I think was using CR. I don’t remember RE VII, but FF XV released some weeks after PS4 pro release

Yes, as did REVII. But I'm saying that both had modes at launch, even if not fully realized.

there is no raytracing for the skinsuit?
I'm curious about the Pro max option. It is possible that Pro max option, is the one with Ray tracing added for Stellar blade. Raytracing is a bonus and icing on the cake, but ill be satisfied if its just stable 4k/60 fps or maybe 120 fps option. :messenger_beaming:

Ray traced lighting or reflections would do wonders for this game.

Nah. Space Marine 2. Spiderman 2 was one and done for me. Can't see myself replaying it anytime soon.

I'm praying for 120fps mode. Don't think will happen though.

Wonder if RE2 & 3 will get an update to Ray tracing mode.

Yes for RE Village. RE4 doesn't have specifics, but I wouldn't be surprised considering it's a VR title too.
“For Resident Evil Village, we added 120fps gameplay to provide the best possible user experience on PS5 Pro. Thanks to this major performance boost, the unique and memorable cast of characters looks even more realistic, adding greatly to the scare factor, and the action scenes have more punch than ever before. The beautiful and haunting world of Resident Evil Village uses the power of PS5 Pro for ultra-high-resolution technology, painting a vividly realistic picture that allows for the highest sense of immersion.

For FFXV it had existing modes that benefitted from the additional Pro horsepower, similarly to how many PS5 games with existing framerate and resolution dynamism will tap into the PS5 Pro without any need for a patch. But it took a few months later for a proper PS4 Pro patch to drop, as evidenced by the Digital Foundry article.

I was confused about RE7 based on the date of its DF article, as the game actually launched a few months after the Pro anyway.

This is what I meant, though:
Prior to the arrival of this patch, users were presented with two options - lite and high. The former drops the presentation to 1080p resolution while delivering a smooth, stable 30 frames per second. This mode on PS4 Pro was our recommended way to play Final Fantasy 15 due to its consistency - the fact that, by and large, it produced a properly frame-paced 30fps. The high mode bumps the resolution up to 1800p using checkerboarding, and introduced enhanced visual features but consistent frame-pacing wasn't enforced, leading to a very jerky game in motion.
This high, 1800c resolution mode was the initial enhanced PS4 Pro support for the game at launch, until they went on to add 60fps to the lite 1080p mode as well in February.

Only if it beyond PC settings. R6800 on 4k MAX setting avg 70 fps

In general, native 2160p at 60 fps is very rare on base PS5

We'll see what the Pro can do

EDIT: "Additionally, Performance Mode now supports full native 4K resolution, allowing players to enjoy stunning visuals without sacrificing responsiveness,"

Sorry for the autoquote but this is interesting

If they are doing Native 4K for the performance mode, it means they are using the additional power to up the resolution with NO PSSR.

So they probably won't be able to increase the settings to Quality mode level

I guess I would generally prefer a combination of at least 2 of the Big 3 upgrades of Trinity

- Raster
- PSSR
- RT

But still the Quality mode will be there with higher frame rates

Looks like Stellar blade is also having a Pro update. More games to be upgraded for pro starting today. So it begins.

This game's popularity took a hit. I didn't even know there was an update until I saw a thread at another place, and I thought the thread creator was trolling. It turns out he was telling the truth.

I don't see the correllation in relation to it's popularity when it just rolled out today. They also didn't announce it either it just automatically happened.

Good shit for NG+.
I had 4 playthrough of the game and another one will not be a problem because it is really a beautiful game and excellent combat. Perfect timing for the pro update since the DLC Stellar blade X Nier Automata along with the photo mode is coming out before the end of the year.

Unconfirmed but I got a response on Grounded discord from a mod that that 1.4.6 likely has Pro support. Patch is multiplatform in release terms so timing isn't Pro specific. No info on enhancements.

Edit: company rep jumped in and stated no enhancements in next patch.

So many games missing Pro patches. People here are awfully confident that the list is growing and "exploding" but aside from a few EA sports titles and ps vr games, it hasn't been. For a $780 investment Sony should've been hustling to incentivise more devs to update their games...lets look at games with no Pro support:

Cyberpunk/witcher 3, silent hill 2, Black Myth, FF16, Elden Ring/Armored Core 6, Modern warfare 2+3, black ops 6, baulders gate 3, Metaphor, destiny 2, astrobot, ghost of tsushima, days gone, uncharted 4 remaster, miles morales/sm remastered, ac valhalla, far cry 6, dying light 2, control ultimate, rdr2/gta 5 remaster, banishers, doom eternal, space marine 2, dead space, re village/re7/re2/re3, alone in the dark, mortal kombat 1, tekken 8, sf6, , WRC, warhammer rogue trader, suicide squad (i know it sucks), gotham knights (i know), like a dragon gaiden/infinite wealth/lost judgement, immortals of aveum, robocop, granblue fantasy, scarlet nexus, tales of arise, avatar, lords of the fallen, Pacific Drive, Casting of Frank Stone, AC Mirage, WuLong Fallen Dynasty/Strangers of Paradise, Death Stranding Dir. Cut
