List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

TGO

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
I brought the PS4 Pro and the PS5 Pro is way better. The PS4 Pro was just higher res still 30fps. PS5 Pro at least offer quality mode but at 60fps like with KCD2 for example. Also when implemented right the PSSR is better than the FSR garbage.
Uncharted Lost Legacy was bumped up to 4K60FPS

In fact just looking at the list of upgrades for games it's ranges from 4k60fps, Native 4K30fps
to improved polygon models, textures, draw distance, lighting, shadows (including increase Shadow map resolution) higher quality Anti-aliasing, increased particle effects, Tessellation(not present in PS4), motion blur.
List goes on
And some games have multiple of those upgrades at the same time.

PS5 Pro?
The shitty Performance mode upscaled to 4K with artifacts
Yes CB upscaling had artifacts too, but the other option available was 1080p or lower.
So the CB Upscaling was a massive improvement.
That's not the case for PS5 Pro.

Quite simply checkerboarding looked quite bad in fast motion at 30 fps.

Unlocked frame rates and dynamic resolutions, especially with PSSR will make these games even better on PS6 than PS4 Pro games were on PS5. Especially with the SSD speeds only getting faster. Was always crazy to me when PS4 games didn't have full capability to access PS5 load times.
Pretty much. PS6 BC will look awesome, particularly for games post-Pro launch.

That's factually incorrect since the PS4 Pro offered both quality AND performance (60fps target) modes, in fact, it's where the quality/performance mode options on consoles started

The performance mode on PS4 Pro offered something like 45fps, never anything remotely close to 60fps. So the real option was just the res upgrade anyway.

Star Wars Outlaws new update:

''PSSR has been updated to the latest version for PS5 Pro users''

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this updated just a few weeks ago, to the latest version of PSSR as per the patch notes - or is it the case that another new version of PSSR has released? if that is the case then kudos to the developers for continuing to support the game.

It was the Jedi few weeks ago, now the outlaws.

Huh? What PS4 Pro games ran at 4K/60fps? I can't think of any. Lost Legacy was 1440p and 30fps, as was Uncharted 4.

I think you are getting PS4 Pro patches confused with PS5 ones.

I am so unbelievably embarrassed for you right now...

But I'd like to thank you for creating evidence of massive revisionism.

I was there and effectively some people have terrible memories:

2016-2018:
Lol PS4 Pro turd hardware, no 4k blu ray movie reader that even Xbox One S has, fauxK, it's just a 1440p console with no frame rate improvements, Xbox One X destroys it and is a real 4k console, have you seen how blurry Red Dead Redemption 2 looks on it? lol lol

2025:
PS4 Pro was the real deal!

"pie_tears_joy: :messenger_grinning_sweat:

These people are just trolling. Reality is that all the recent upgrades have been great on the PS5 Pro and some developers are fixing the few disappointing updates of last year. Star Wars Outlaws added to the list just today.

“PS5 worst gen ever!!!”

[PS4 has a cancelled SSM game, a cancelled Sucker Punch game, The Order 1886 bombs, and The Last Guardian is MIA for nearly 10 years]

Gotta love all the revisionist history and rose tinted rear view glasses going on

Waiting for that silent hill 2 patch...

I will contend that the worst area of Silent Hill 2 on Pro is the starting area and it gets dramatically better after that. I got tired of waiting, went fuck it and started a playthrough. Now 3 hours in and the starting area remains the worst case scenario.

The shadow instability is not too noticeable unless standing still. It is worth noting that even the PC version has this, especially in the foliage. This was referred to as "boiling noise" by the creator of the Ultra+ mod on PC, which went some way to try and fix it. I don't think it's purely caused by PSSR - it likely just makes it more obvious, much like the issues with reflections.

Overall the image is better on the Pro despite these flaws and it has even less traversal stutter than the base PS5. In my opinion Pro quality mode is the version of the game to play above the horrifically stuttering PC version. It does chug a bit in the empty swimming pool section of Wood Side Apartments though.

Yeah it’s only the first 5 minutes
Everything after is fine

The game looks good regardless of whether it’s optimally enhanced or not.

I’m not holding my breath for another Bloober team update of any significance

I preferred 60fps on pro

Hmm I might start it then. My impressions where from the first area that looked awful, especially the puddles.

Not to mention the PS4 Pro sounded like a hair dryer when running games

I was wrong about one game dude because that's how it's listed and even Google gives you that answer, point still stands.

Not according to Google it's 4k60 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And Uncharted 4 is 30fps
Maybe they got confused and it has a 1080p60 mode or something.
According to reality, it's 30fps. AAA single-player action games at 60fps on the PS4 Pro? Yeah, these don't exist with that CPU. God of War has an unlocked frame rate and doesn't even come close to maintaining 60fps. It's mostly 40-50. Maybe multiplayer is at 60fps? I don't remember as I haven't played it in years.

Well you can't say there isn't, because you're forgetting the ones that were on PS4 or close to and PS4 Pro boosts to 60fps.
I'm mean any game that ran at 60fps on standard PS4 wasn't running at 30fps on Pro just because of CB.
My point was someone said there are no PS4 Pro game running at 60fps, which is lie.
And it did more then just CB rendering.

I still can't tell which mode looks better.

Quality 30 & 40fps are quite a bit sharper than Quality 60. From the small amount I played my initial impressions of the patch are that character models and the man-made assets like droids, space ships, machinery etc. are sharper with this updated version of PSSR and I think more stable. Reflections I think are bit more stable. Foliage may be a tad softer but more stable.

I did see some “boiling” effects on surfaces in Quality 60 which I assume is related to ray-tracing and I saw some odd looking shadows which I assume were glitching, however these shadows disappeared as the time of day progressed.

Image quality in motion is far superior to FSR 3.0 in the small amount I played. But I might be wrong on some of these impressions. I would have to play more.

Uncharted not 4k60 even on PS5. You don't need google, just a little of common sense to realize that 4k60 in Uncharted on PS4Pro doesn't have anything common with reality

MP was 900p60 on PS4, they bumped it to 1080p on PS4Pro.
