Heard about the warnings during the match, but this is somewhat surprising. Though with the firm stance, they won't need to do any rearranging of the tournament format in the future to prevent this sort of thing.

I thought I read that they have all done this before and the Badminton Federation didn't do shit before. I think the Chinese had a point, why can't you rest if you know you are going through. NFL teams do this all the time in the final weeks of the NFL if they can. I don't really blame those 8 but the rules, if its single knockout, they will be playing.

First it was the fat Italians winning Gold and now this 15 year old settles it. If a 15 year old can compete against fully grown adults in an event that doesn't require years of physical conditioning then so can I.

I'm going to take up archery and aim for the 2020 Olympics.

The longbow was built for power and not accuracy. No sense in hitting your target perfectly when you send a cloud of arrows at your enemy that can punch through a sheet of metal.

Previously, I think it was always 1 team throwing a match. When both try to lose, it looks bad.

The thing is, if any of the 4 teams were playing a team that was already not continuing, and they let the crappy team win, nobody would bat an eye.

Except you know, they weren't just resting. They were intentionally hitting the net or outside the field. They were making a mockery of the match. Completely deserved.
