Wish i had saved the quotes from the Brits here, who complained that there were too many medals handed out for a single discipline (in swimming) Anyway congrats GB.

Well, it's still true. But also shows why on an individual level medal count is a little misleading, when people say 'greatest Olympian' and stuff. I mean you have to play for days in some events to get one, and if you miss out it's a four year wait for your next chance. A swimmer can theoretically pick up a handful in an afternoon.

There's usually three languages for the announcements / celebrations :
- French (official language of the Olympics)
- English
- Whatever the language is of the hosting country

Since London is hosting this year, we have only two languages.
Correct me if i'm wrong !
