Swimming would be better if all the events were freestyle. Fastest way to cover the distance.

Let me put it this way.

In the 100 free, the world record is 46.91. In the 100 breast the world record is 58.46.

Clearly breaststroke is the more difficult and slowest stroke. So why not have events that demonstrates the skills required to swim these events?

There is not legitimate reason to get rid of any swimming events.
