Mafia: The Old Country sold 800K units in its first 5 days (Sensor Tower/VG Insights data)

I like the setting takes place but most gameplay I saw from it is very much cinematic Uncharted style game and I'm just so over that type of gameplay.

I'm more excited for this, it has setting I like with more interesting gameplay.

Watch the drumming segments require a full Rock Band drumset or you fail and can't progress.

Those 20-25m old xbox one s/x users are cheap enough to not change to xbox series consoles 4,5 years into the generation, i bet negligible amount will be doing anything like that ;P
If a Series console user locally installs a game, they're blocked from streaming it on the console.

xCloud's highest usage is on Samsung/LG TVs, followed by Consoles. A big chunk of those streaming games on consoles are Xbox One users who don't feel the need to upgrade because they can still stream, that means they are still Gamepass Ultimate subscribers. They might be cheap but they can still afford $20 month subscription.

You have cloud only users buying and streaming the game on Day One.

The game is accessible to Buy and Stream on any device with a screen and browser. Every laptop, every mobile device, every PC.

You can't use those numbers to extrapolate Series Console sales numbers. Many users no longer care to buy hardware. But they're still part of the Xbox ecosystem.

For a low-budget game, it's alright.
It's a bit unfortunate it's a massive downgrade from previous Mafia titles in terms of replayability and gameplay. Outside of the story mode, there's absolutely nothing to do. No enemies to fight, no police system, no car chases and the list goes on.

I'm hoping we'll get news for Mafia IV soon.
Supposedly they have a roadmap of new activities and whatnot over the coming months. Should've been in at launch, but smells an awful lot like the 2K pushed them to just cut out the fat and complete/polish the story and get the game out before BL4, BF6 and annual COD release

Will buy it next month when I'm done with MGS3 (and Chrons doesn't blow it out of the water).

Glad they're doing good. I fin myself playing and rooting for AA games more and more lately.

you can, but there is nothing in it. Wait for the official free roam patch so you can do new missions and activities
I didn't have problems with that in Mafia 2. There wasn't much to do but I liked the city. You could buy food and get your shoes shined. Edit: You could also take cars to the scrap yard for money.

Do you guys think this is a good result? Have no idea what the expectations would've been here.

Working through Death Stranding 2 and Bonanza right now, but probably going to pick this up in the fall. Love a good Mafia story and gameplay from 2010 sounds great to me. I'm not part of the modern audience.
