They've been flat lining for over a decade now (after a large, then steady, decline). I imagine they're terrified of what will happen when they lose One Piece and Naruto (or if they start failing to get new young audiences).

I can't say I feel bad for them; it isn't like they're running all sorts of super awesome shit that nobody is buying. They're running mediocre to Nisekoi level shit.

Wikipedia, lol, says he had immense stress that caused him to get no sleep and chest pain during YYH's run.

I could see him telling Jump straight up he would only do another manga if he did it on his terms.

I feel like the series is running out of steam. It's been too many chapters since we last had a girl coveting the MC urine, The MC using his penis to seal a dark void in a girls vagina, or the underage girl thrusting her vagina in the MCs face. I feel like the series is running out of steam. It's pretty rushed towards the end but it still has it's moments so they're at the very least worth flicking through.

Dragonball ended in 95, Slam Dunk ended in 96. They were the two titans of Shonen Jump and without them the magazine tanked. In fact, Shonen Jump went through a 11 year decline until One Piece's Enies Lobby arc helped the magazine have its first circulation increase in years.

Don't remember their titles, sorry. I never specifically try to read a title, just reading them by chance. The one that I can remember now is that one story about a person with a gay room-mate, that sucked.

Speaking of Naruto, I am rather miffed that Sasuke did practically nothing for the war and yet he was rewarded with arguably a backup that could turn the tide of battle towards the good guys, if not outright winning them the war. While Naruto? Gezzzzzzzzzzz.

Tower of God is pretty good very plot oriented and character fleshing webtoon. It´s very nice plot with great twists.
Noblesse is the Shonen battle manga, which i enjoy. It has an interesting premise good characters, and great fights.
Girls of the Wild´s is about a boxing school which girls are very powerful. It´s fun to read, and it has Dal Dal, which is a great and funny female character.

One Piece's volume sales are already slightly larger than Jump's circulation; Shueisha need a reason to keep people buying Jump once Naruto ends instead of getting One Piece volumes or their new properies will struggle to find an audience. Nisekoi, AssClass and Haikyu are all too fresh to be a compelling reason to buy the magazine right now. Maybe in a year, once they've settled...

I don't think any mangaka will create something as popular as OP/Naruto/HxH as long as they exist (they wanna create things they wanna read, and there's no point if those things already exist.. which is why the new hotness is the variety series we've been getting). A year or two after one of them ends, sparks will probably start happening.

It's clear that in terms of fighting, the author of Kenichi has done his fair amount of research, unlike the big 3, or 4, if you add Toriko in; that's what I like about it.

And he's being consistent with the underdog theme for Kenichi too, even after all this long; unlike Kishi with Naruto.

Aside from the fact that they are based on real techniques the battle have just a better rhythm and yes it's really good that after 500+ chapters kenichi is still a novice.
