Illini fan here for what's seemed like forever. It's been an incredible year (yah, understatement). Never did I think we might have a chance to run the table, but the emergence of three-headed monster known as the Illini 3 turned out about as well as it could have. Dee Brown has been amazing this year, I wish him the best and I'm so happy we have such a player on our team. The kid is amazing, we've come close to losing it sooooo many times, but when that mouthpiece starts hanging from Dee's mouth, it's fucking over for the other team.
I've been watching Illini games (yay ch. 26 chicago) for most of the year, and this kid has been nailing 28 (yah, TWENTY EIGHT) footers at times. The range and speed on that kid is amazing. People dog on the Illini for having a weak inside game.. that is simply not the case. James Augustine is starting to play with some force (aka balls) and Roger Powell is sickly underrated on the defensive end. If one thing is going to cost the Illini a game/championship this year, it's going to be because of a weak bench. Nick Stick has been super disappointing this year (7'2" and good for nothing), and beyond that there really isn't much. I guess you could say the same about other top 10 teams, but if ever the big 3 get into foul trouble, it'll be problematic.

Didn't mean to go on for so long, but these are my thoughts for the whole year consolidated into a single post. My favorite team finally having an awesome year. Sucks about the rest of the Big Ten sans MSU stinking it up though.

PS- I feel an abnormally perverse joy in seeing Self and Co. (KU) lose whenever that happens, and it's been often lately. :lol
