I hope someone is collecting all these 'nope' responses for when it airs, and the guy is a perfect Luke Cage.

Because no offence, but it's easier to bulk up than it is it to train some musclehead to act. And while Crews would be perfect he's currenlty a regular on another show. So there was never any chance he'd be able to add 21 more episodes onto his plate (13 Luke Cage + 8 Defenders.)

This is my take on it. Not that it lends any credence to this rumor but it makes more sense to pick a good actor and bulk him up. ESPECIALLY if you're casting a year out from filming.

Worst MCU movie. Fuckin High-Blood-Pressure-No hops-Hulk only defeats the Abomination because the Abomination gets his foot stuck in a hole in the ground, which by all rights the Abomination should have just pulled his leg out of with ease.

Thor 2 is by far the worst MCU movie. By far.
