Charlie Cox talks Daredevil

On how Daredevil doesn't really have a cinematic point of view (due to blindness) and a bit on how they will display his powers.
We had to adapt certain things for the purpose of story telling. Like for example, and I’m making this up so there are no spoilers here, there is a scene where I come into the room, and lets say there are guns all over the floor on one side of the room and drugs on the other side of the room. Im just making this up, I promise I’m just making this up. So lets say that’s the scene. I come into the room, and I [Daredevil] can pick up on those things, based on a combination of his senses, smell, gunpowder in the air, taste of cocaine in the air or whatever, he can sense those things. But you can’t tell that story on camera without having a camera move that goes to them. Daredevil wouldn’t need to look in that direction in order to sense those objects, but the camera needs to. So we had to come up with a way where he has to focus on things in order to kind of sense them, and by focusing he kind of cocks his head towards what it is he’s trying to get a sense of, trying to kind of create an image in his mind of what it is, so we can tell that story.

So that Daredevil trailer is PRETTY FUCKING BOSS.

Dark and gritty as all hell.

This bodes really, really well for the rest of the Netflix shows.

I know it's just a trailer, but I think we can all agree that this is already the best show that has ever existed on television, with perhaps the exception of The Wire.

What is this link I keep seeing between Alias and Jessica Jones?

It will slaughter Arrow, The Flash, Agents of Shield, Agent Carter. Gotham and all the other superhero shows, which I by the way, will keep watching.

Definitely says TV-MA when I look at it on Netflix. Bizarre. Didn't think they'd go for it. Might just default to that since it's definitely not going to be for all audiences?

EDIT: MHWilliams *shakes fist*

The showrunner has already said not to expect R-rated level violence, and no nudity. We already know the show was going to be gritty and more brutal than the "average" Marvel show. So.... it's probably a rating for tone more than anything else.

hot hot hanuman-on-man action
on one hand, she's almost too pretty for how i see Jessica Jones

on the other hand, i can't seem to mind

There's no fucking way it comes out this year.

Since that one very confusing one-Marvel-show-a-year quote from Sarandos at the TCAs, which he subsequently walked back a tad, it's been repeatedly reconfirmed for 2015, both on Netflix's site and in the casting announcements from the past couple weeks. Not sure what you're going on about.

If they're already filming in early February, it can easily debut in November or December, if not slightly earlier.

Daredevil started shooting in July and is coming out seven months later.

No real reason why Jessica Jones cant come out by the end of 2015.

I think you mean nine months later, but yes.

I'd say hold off on making one...there's just not enough right now. Once another story or two hits, the OP of a production thread be done correctly.

I don't think she's supposed to be ugly, just that during that Alias story she's not exactly taking great care of herself because she's been through some shit. Once she has the baby and gets her shit together they started drawing her differently. She looks a mess when she is a mess, she looks good when she's doing good. And we don't know the context of this picture.

I am not sure if I should read some Alias. On one hand I know next to nothing about the character and thus I can go in blind without any preconceptions and not have any major events spoiled for me, on the other hand I get a better understanding of the character. It's like watching guardians of the galaxy with the non comic book need audience where i was like who the fuck are these guys?
