My daredevils up to around level 20. He started out not so good, decent damage, but rather squishy for a melee character. But around level 10 his skills start to synergize, slowing people and knocking hem down, flipping all over the place is kind of fun, and his dodge rate gets high enough to offset his squishyness. He's fun to play, but not terribly strong and all the flipping about and stunning is useless against bosses.

So far, a fun guy to take out and play around with for a bit, but who gets put away when things get serious.

Logged on to play finally and found my three year old, who had played a bunch in the beta just running around smashing thugs, had taken advantage of being left with it and used my currency to buy a bunch of heroes....terrible heroes.

Im now level 20 and have found sweet FA too.
I see a lot of non-starter characters running around, so I think the business plan must be making a fair bit of coin.

It's the first 3 days of release. We'll see how things look a month or two from now. It really depends on how quickly they can release new content. I'm doubtful.

They really got this game in good shape compared to much of the beta. I was in it from December and it was pretty bad. I'm pretty amazed at how much better the moment to moment clicking and movement has improved.

So after doing a bunch of daily challenges with a group, I have some observations.

1) Green daily dungeons are super quick, easy to solo, and don't give much XP.

2) Red daily dungeons are amazing XP when paired with potions.

3) The group daily dungeons are a waste of time. Well, it was for us. We did it (and it took 20-30 minutes) and gained VERY little XP. I'm thinking they get better? I hope?

4) Heal when injured, Heal when damaged as a double affix is fucking stupid. We did the red Taskmaster daily. It was stupidly difficult.

5) While I play Rocket Raccoon, I felt TERRIBLE for the Hulk in our group. Melee gets the shaft BIG TIME on bosses.

7) Chat operations are annoying. If you reply to a message without replying, you get [Tell Tell personX]. That's stupid. Also, the lack of supergroups STILL pisses me off. It's very difficult to get a group together. Having a guild of people would make this SO much easier.

8) Med packs NEED to come in a higher tier. With ~3000 health, the standard pack is worthless.

9) Speaking of things that need to come in larger options...Money. Money is scarce, and with the cost of crafting higher level items, it's going to get REAL tight.

10) Fucking make crafting mats stack. That's just absolutely fucking ridiculous.

11) Action bars are a mess. 5 options + health pack + RMB hotkeys sounds like a lot, but it's not. Not when you have a character with a bunch of utility skills that are worth using. I don't know how to fix this, but it needs to be addressed.

12) Bosses need to have some sort of indicator above their head. With all the crazy effects going on, it's a mess when trying to target him/her.

13) Speaking of effects, I've lowered my graphics options in hopes to turn off crazy screen shaking and insane blaze and explosions. It just gets to be too hard to see what's going on...Even still, I can't seem to get these things to go down and make my screen less annoying to look at during a large group event.

14) Lag is still really bad in the tower by the crafter. I noticed they added another crafter to Avenger's Tower. Great, but it's still laggy.

OK, I think that's about all I have right now. I'm still loving the game, and I plan to continue enjoying every moment I can with it. But these are things that I really found annoying tonight during my session.

Just beat Doom with Thing, solo'd. I'm level 27 or 28 and loving it but I've noticed leveling up has suddenly gotten a lot slower now. Gonna try those red terminals. Thing is really good

It's astounding, isn't it? I sound like a broken record but holy mackerel what an improvement. I completely wrote the game off back then. I've never seen such a big improvement from beta to release, probably because I'm so accustomed to betas just being betas in name only and not real ones. This one was a real one.

Yup...I had absolutely written it off as well. I quit playing the beta it was such a mess. I also played till the Kingpin areas with Iron man, Thor, and Storm.

I'm not sure I care for the boss fights with tons of heroes around, but all in all it's very good. Right now I'm level 14 Iron Man.

Also how come you can't paste your password at the login? They have to be going out of their way to disable that. Why? I randomly generated my password like I do all of them. It's 13 characters long, random letters, numbers and symbols. Why do I have to type it every time? It requires me pasting my password into notepad, and alt-tabbing back and forth between the game and notepad like 5 times to type it out. So fucking dumb.

Also, it'd be nice if the available characters in the OP had labels instead of just pictures. Am I supposed to be able to recognize all those characters by their 3d render portrait?

Jean Grey's phoenix form absolutely melted groups of enemies in beta (though to charge it you had to constantly kill/get hurt to do so). Its more of an encompassing circle of fire around you than a ranged aoe but was extremely effective. Survivability is your biggest issue with her, as well as maintaining your meter during boss fights. I believe Storm, Thor and Scarlet Witch are also aoe characters but I don't have that much experience with them

Ah crap I switched to a level 1 Daredevil to play with a friend just starting out, and I didn't know that quest progress wasn't character-specific. So since it wiped everything (aside from endgame) I don't remember what quests I've done on Rocket now, I skipped a few because I didn't want to waste time (looking at you Apollo Bug).

However I was planning to go back and finish them in case they had things like permanent stat boosts or exp/rarity boosters as rewards. It seems like Manifold still differentiates between fully cleared chapters and those where I skipped quests...how does he work?

Wish there was some kind of list of those important quest rewards so I could just go after them specifically.

I was doing some runs last night before i went to bed with 2 of them in my group and i couldn't even see anything on the screen let alone hit an enemy because they were burning through them. Not being able to see anything on the screen has been a problem lately (at least with characters like Scarlet) it gets kind of annoying.

You can turn it off.

Only in the smaller dungeon-y areas. You are still forrced to run into swaths of other people in the more "overworld" areas whether you want to or not.

Awww I beat Doom and got a second Hawkeye drop, so that sucks. Played a few dailies with Storm, switched to Hawkeye lvl 1 to start all over again. Still waiting for my first proper character/costume drop. I've been running around with +16% special item drop the whole game but obviously that's not very effective.

Got my Panther up to mid-30s. He's a really fun character, but suffers from the same maladies that all melee characters do on certain bosses. Magneto and Dr. Doom are the two where I end up feeling the most useless. I've solo'd them both, but it took quite a bit of creativity. I'm almost considering modifying my build some to include his one ranged throwing skills just to spam during those moments where the AOE effects make me useless.

At least Daredevil has a freaking club he can toss around.

I've had a lot of good luck on drops. Few nice artifacts, COW level recipe off fortune card, bunch of retcon devices (re-spec tokens)

The group challenges can drop some nice stuff, I've done the first and second tiered ones and did the tier 2 survival ones. Those get hectic and your group can wipe from a bad spawn lol

So now that things are getting harder my Hulk has been reduced to punching an enemy once, and then running/leaping out. It somehow keeps aggro on me, so I guess its useful, but man its annoying and stupid.

Considering not waiting for Nova or Torch before I play a caster... Phoenix and Witch seem very beastly, even though I am not a huge fan of their characters.

I ask because I have like 4.00 left in my Steam wallet from something else and about 1000 yen left on a Visa prepaid card I bought previously for another online game purchase.

It bugs me that it auto-groups through the entire game except terminal stuff.

Why doesn't it auto-group in those? The purple ones are designed for team play yet it never auto-groups me.

According to some post on PA you can use the Steam wallet to get G.
So with the power of my leftover steam wallet and visa prepaid card balance combined I can get me a 1200 point character!

However none of the 1200 characters really grab at me enough to spend money on them. Jean Grey is a good choice and would give me 3 omega ladies with SW and Storm. Heh.

However, in all honesty I am more tempted by Ms Marvel, Cable, or even Cyclops at the 900 rank.

Anyone have experience with any of those three?

Thanks. I decided to check a Wiki and look over some of the skill lists.
Everyone mentions that the characters really come into their own around lvl 20 and comparing everyone's skills I think I may get Cable. Quick bodyslide sounds fun for kiting with a rifle.

Although Jean Grey seems fun I don't really want to spend 1200...even if it is just money left over on a gift card. Though if I ever get that 90's X-Men costume then I will be forced to buy her anyway.

Got a fortune card as a drop, consumed it and it gave me 100% xp boost for an hour I think. Ended up gaining uhh, maybe 3-4 levels.

Didn't help that I must've died like four times in that moleman dungeon.

If I could actually survive the place, I probably would've sat there and grind some levels.

You get one for finishing the prologue and one for finishing the story. Those are only starter characters and there's nothing to stop one or both of them from being repeats.

Other characters can be found as random drops from enemies but they're really rare.

Awesome thanks! I want to make a few purchases, I was just concerned about buying a character and then possibly getting that same character via a token.
