Marvel's Spider Man Remastered is coming to PC on August 12, 2022 (also Miles Morales Fall 2022)

tbh, that has to be the least interesting PC port. the game already runs really well and is best played on a controller, so a PC version isn't really a big upgrade. but it's of course nice for PC only users.

I wonder how they'll improve RT on PC, because they could make it look way better with better LODs, that's the biggest potential upgrade for a PC version. as the RT reflections are nice at a distance when you swing around the city, but at close inspection look pretty bad

Warriors can get upset all they want.

It's great that more people can now appreciate this masterpiece.
Yup.

Thats the way gaming should be. I totally get the greedy business side of it as suit and tie execs try to maximize ecosystem sales, but putting on the consumer hat it's great to see PC gamers get Sony ports, just as PC gamers have been getting Xbox games for years. Sony and MS wont trade games with each other, but at least PC is a neutral platform they both support.

I've never seen someone complain about their movie disc players having all music CDs and movies play on all branded boxes. Somehow for those products, everyone wants that disc of Terminator 2 to play on as many devices as possible including their PC optical drive. But leave it to fan warriors to cradle a game like it's a newborn child.

Wait, this includes Miles Morales as well?

From the Blog:
That's right, the acclaimed PlayStation action-blockbuster hits Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales are heading to PC.

EDIT: Miles is Fall 2022. Awesome!

We can reveal that Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered will launch on PC on August 12, 2022 while Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales will launch on PC in Fall 2022.

Miles Morales

Autumn 2022
We will have more details to share about both Marvel's Spider-Man PC games as we approach their respective launches. For now, we can reveal that Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered will launch on PC on August 12, 2022 while Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales will launch on PC in Fall 2022.

Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on PC will include the full main story and its continued narrative in Marvel's Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps DLC, which features three accompanying story chapters in Peter Parker's journey along with additional missions and challenges for players to discover.
Good catch.

Flood gates open. I knew more games would come this year after GOW and UC4. Spidey for PC comes out in August. It' not like Sony is going to have a giant back half gap of dead space. I expect another port to come in Q4.

If the Sackboy and Returnal rumours are true, those will be it.

Lots of ports still in the game library. Expect about 1 per quarter until exhausted.
Looks like I was right. There's the Q4 game. Flood gates open.

And that doesn't even include whenever UC4 releases this year. Oddly, no date yet.

Nice. I may pick this up at some point even though I played it already on PS4. Hope the port is done well.

Coming to a Steam Deck near you. Already have Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn, and God of War. Looking forward to adding Spider-Man and Miles Morales to the collection.

I knew it! PC is gonna eat so fucking good this generation! Now all we need are official Nintendo to PC ports.
Sony is ramping up ports. You got at minimum UC4, Spiderman, Spiderman: Miles Morales this year. Maybe more. The time gap getting squeezed. Even a game like Miles Morales is down to 2 years. And if Returnal comes out this year, it'll be even less.

And who knows what games Sony will port to PC in 2023. It's not like everything will come to a dead stop. Lots of more ports possible:

- LOU
- Ghosts of T
- GT7
- R&C
- Demon's Souls
- The Show
- Returnal and Sackboy (recent rumour)

Honestly never thought spider man would get a port. Nothing off the table at this point.

Not my type of game but whatever, I'm happy to see PC getting a steady stream of ports.

Well, got to hand it to PC gamers. Patience pays off. They know what they are doing. Sit back and dont panic.

Whereas the typical console gamer has a Patience Rating of around 9/18, a PC gamer's character sheet shows a rating of 18/00.

Yes. We are very patient. It usually pays off. Still waiting for the port of rdr... it'll happen... it'll happen...

Thats because on PC we have thousands of games to chose from, we are not waiting form game to game like console gamers often are.
Thats why you will often see a game at no.1 in Steam sales charts, but its like about no.100 on most played chart.

People keep saying 'yeah but you have to wait a year or two for the games lolz', and PC gamers are like 'yeah, cool'.:messenger_sunglasses:

Upgrading to a 3080 and completely skipping out on consoles this gen has really worked out for me so far.
How have the PC ports performed so far? Do they perform inline with the hardware? Are there improved effects, textures, etc... or just barebones ports?

Should've waited till next year for the release.
Could of call it the 5th Anniversary Edition.🤣
Wait has it been that long 😳

Great games.

I actually prefer Miles Morales. It's shorter, but that's because it cuts out the padding, resulting in better pacing.

I ve bought miles morales for ps5 just to upgrade to sm remaster.
I've not played either yet lol.
I left the food so long a plate that finally pc gets it

To be fair, that tweet was 4 years ago and this likely wasn't in the pipeline.

It got pretty obvious to anyone paying attention though, when they showcased this game running on a dev PS5 that was basically a PC at the time... this was inevitable.

Playing it in TRUE 4K with MAX RT settings and everything ultra + forced Dolby Atmos + a Venom suit mod.....HHHNNNNNGGGG!
