This was the best add-on I have ever played. I forgive the price as there was some true effort that went into this.
- Solid gameplay both in the story section and battle mini games.
- The number of variations just in the party scene and romance options is huge.
- The small touches everywhere showed a real care in the detail.
- The writing was fantastic.
- But even more into that, the comedic timing was the best I've seen in a video game.
- I was actually laughing out loud for 30% of the DLC, 30% I was being nostalgic, and the last 30% I was just having fun (except maybe the part I did 187 pull ups).
- Honestly, this was the ultimate service to their fans (with still keeping the ending that is)
Every developer needs to learn this how to create add ons like this. This is how you can get $20 or whatever (it was MS Points and I forget conversion from points to USD to CDN + tax) from your consumers with them feeling satisfied.
Actually EA as a publisher needs to learn from themselves with this one or Bioware, whoever is directing these DLC movements. Releasing a very full and satisfying add-on like this, even if it costs extra, is fine with me. Releasing the Multiplayer DLC for free. They make more money out of it by all of the pack purchases but no one is forced to pay for the packs, and you don't feel like you're screwed not paying for them. ME3 is a good model to both make money but keep your customers satisfied.
