Mass Effect 3 |OT| Space Jesus Returns (tag all spoilers)

While I do not disagree with that, but they could easily give PC owners more options to have better graphics. Look at DA2, that game had DX11 support and a highres texture pack. This game, nothing. I really wonder what the Mass Effect team does with the original textures. I mean, they have to downgrade the original highres textures to get to the console lowres textures, no? Why not include the orginal highres textures as a optional download, like DA2?

Because the texture artist saved over the original high res textures and didn't want to do the work to return them. Like ctrl z.

I just converted everything into omni-gel.

I just made sure to equip my squad optimally with new gear while on, and after having completed a mission, and then I sold everything else to the Normandy vendor. I made sure to keep a few spare tungsten or shredder rounds in my inventory, but that was about it.

Once in a blue moon I ended up in situations that forced me to omni gel and it was a royal pain in the ass, especially when you had to selected and confirm each freaking piece of equipment individually. Which is another failing of the ME1 inventory system, that it didn't have a 'convert all' or the ability to select a range of items to omnigel at once.

It was even worse when you had keep going into your existing inventory to clear space for the good loot you might get from kills.

Meh, fire him and get the DA2 texture artist. Seriously, this game (even on consoles) has overly lowres textures compared to other AAA console games. The mod community will take care of the armour textures, but the shitty thing is, the mod program isn't exactly compatible with ATI videocards, causing massive slowdown :(

The original texture art wouldn't be usable for any platform. It would still need to be converted to usable high res textures. I don't know how time consuming that would be, but they would also need to balance it with load times.

Do player stats carry over from ME2?

If I start a fresh game vs ME2 game save, will stats be equal, or will I be stronger with my ME2 character?

I know, the original textures must be 1000000x1000000, but if DA2 had highres textures, I don't see how it's not possible with the ME series. Again, they had DX11 support and highres textures in DA2, that "no one" cared about/"everyone hates". It's just that they don't want to do it, though i'm sure people have complained since the first ME.

I believe that your level transfers. So let say the save you import is level 25 then you will be level 25 at the start of the game the games level cap is 60. Things like the upgrades you researched with minerals however will not.

Are there forums like that for other Bioware games? That seems like an odd filter to create on your forums.

If imported you start at level 30 instead of 1. It's the only way to reach max level of 60 without a 2nd New Game+ play through.

Im not too happy with this, but its best I could do quickly. Idris aint easy. They dont have the proper shade of brown and none of the noses are quite right. Same for the facial hair. Ive never enjoyed making ManSheps. Im simply never happy with how they turn out.

The Quartermaster or the Shuttle Pilot, cant remember which one. They mentioned it in one of the Normandy Walkthrough vids.

damn son, looks Idris enough but yeah, the nose ain't quite there. Idris has peculiar traits and I could never figure out his bloody smile. I guess I'mma give up on that. Billy Butcher that is, for me

I got five hours into ME for my perfect jusththewayiwantit run leading up to ME3, and I couldn't do it. I'm soooo tired of that game, so I found a perfect save on masseffectsaves.com. Everything seemed fine, started ME2 for the first time since I finished it back in 2010. Feels really good. However, turns out that the player saved borefest Alenki. I'd rather have the space racist, to be honest. Anyway, turns out there's DLC that allows me to pick and chose from some motion comic stuff to generate a savegame? Fuuuuuuuuuuuu

Gibbed's Save Editor will allow you to edit ME1 variables on PC/360.

This was probably already asked but here it is again.

I beat Mass Effect 2 when it came out. I have the entire squad survived in the missions. I was around level 28 at the end of the game.

I've read that if you are level 30 in Mass Effect 2, you can continue to level up till 60 in ME3. Will I be able to do that even if I'm 28 or will I start from 1 in 3?

What should I be doing to get the best experience for the third? I haven't been following the media lately so sorry if this was already asked before.

Thanks.

If you haven't done Lair of the Shadowbroker DLC yet, play that, it should get you to thirty and it's the best mission ever in a ME game.

This 360 disc-swapping nonsense has me considering going with the PC version. How does one convert 360 saves to PC saves again?

first you load up witcher 2. and then you play it.

And take the Iorveth path, and prefer it to Roche.

Then download Gibbed's Save Editor to covert the 360 save on your computer to PC format. I don't know how to get 360 saves on a PC, but this might help.

The problem here is I'm overseas now nd ll the games available here are PAL. I have a Nort Anerican account nd I've read that the DLC's are region locked. Means the disc and the Live account have to be from the same area.

True? If not, I would walk in to the store, buy ME2 again and play it just for the DLC.

Embargoing reviews until just before launch is a common tactic for publishers, as good reviews generate hype that can be immediately followed up with the game launching. They prefer it to good reviews a week or so earlier, when by the time the game launches the hype for those particular reviews may be lost.

The combat in ME1 was truly awful. Good thing the story and introduction to the universe was so good. It's what makes me like the game almost as much as ME2. Almost.

Everyone seems to be confusing shooter mechanics with combat. The combat in ME1 was vastly better than 2. The silly shooter crap was "supposedly better" in 2.

This morning my pirate friend was like "Btw I have ME3 already trolololololo!!!111!"

I was like: FuUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuUuuuUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!

Finally downloading Lair of the Shadow Broker. It better be worth it.

Before that, though, I had to play through the end of the Arrival DLC, as my game didn't save after completing it. That would have been bad, considering it carries over into ME3. Strange that I had to do a manual save.

So you were considering getting the 360 version over the PC version?

Trololollo?

Or crazy?
The only thing that tempts me with the PS3 version is the fact I can play online with my friends (none of which game on the PC), and use the controller.

Having played the demo though, the single player performance is pretty bad.

Just FXAA. I'll be forcing MSAA.

Wait? What the f... when did games stop support anti-aliasing?! FXAA is an abomination and shouldn't even exist as an official option in games. Dropping AA support is almost like if they suddenly decided to not support Gamepads.. oh, wait...

Bioware sure is fumbling a lot when it comes to features and details.
