Origins sounds too prequel-ish. Contact is better.
What if this ends up being the exclusive Xbox title?
Nobody posted a dancing Shep gif?
The first mission/prologue should be during the final mission in ME3 to take back Earth, fuck all this talk of ignoring the ending to 3. Bioware claims they were "proud" of it, well then lets see it from a different perspective.![]()
Prequel would be a disaster! Prequels always turn out horrible.
Especially in sci-fi universes.
Believe me! I know this better than anyone else.
The problem is choosing which one, not the ending itself.
It's been out a while now.
What usually happens in these cases is they pick all of them and combine them. That's what Deus Ex: Invisible War did.
"All synthetics are dead... but they're not!"
"Everyone's merged with synthetics... but not really!"
"Shepard helped rebuild the Galaxy... but someone stopped him halfway through! Oh no!"
Do we have any idea of the direction they are taking this?
Return to the glorious technicolor sci-fi space opera of the first game?
Or more grimdark muddy pew pew like the two sequels?
KOTOR worked. And that's the only type of prequel I would want to see, one set thousands of years before Shep
It's been out a while now.
Problem with that is there'd be no humans. While I wouldn't mind that at all, there's no way EA is going to publish a game with no humans for mainstream audiences to relate to.KOTOR worked. And that's the only type of prequel I would want to see, one set thousands of years before Shep
Why would time have anything to do with when spoiling something is ok? I'm in the middle of playing ME3 for the first time.

I think we all know destroy would be canon. While heavily debated by the community it gives the most interesting sequel options in a post reaper galaxy while ensuring they can't pull bullshit and bring the reapers back unless they retcon dlc and say there were some elsewhere. Plus if somehow this game fails andThe problem is choosing which one, not the ending itself.
It'd be medieval space with plasma weapons and god damn space trebuchets. How fucking awesome would that be?
Think about having different species face off against each other in their own castles after being stranded to a planet following the events for Mass Effect 3. That'd be great.
Even control would work. In fact that one makes the most sense if they were to do a sequel.Or just pick destroy![]()
I'm okay with it being a prequel in the sense that it takes place before the events of the trilogy, but I wan't a completely new story. I'm over Shepard, the reapers, the protheans, and all that business. There's an entire universe there to work with. Maybe instead of being space Jesus, savior of the galaxy, it could focus on more smaller scale, self-contained events.

ms win e3 handsdown
Yeah, for sure. Mass Effect is a space opera so you gotta expect some epicness. I just don't want them to retread the whole saving the universe from annihilation against all odds thing, it's played out.I'm okay with smaller scale events, but I'd like to see some "epic" mystery as well. Perhaps something in the dark space, but not in the scale of threatening the galaxy, as that's already been done.
It also would be as far from Mass Effect fundamentals as physically possible.

If they do pick an ending, I hope it's destroy, but I'd rather they just start fresh. Far enough into the future that nobody really talks about it anymore (except for like history classes or whatever).

So do I. I remember reading something, probably fan made, about it being so far into the future that due to infighting in the galaxy because of the prolonged existence of species and races since no reapers, Salarian "uplifting", and over population that reaper tech is adapted to allow for true intergalactic travel and we end up going to Andromeda and well you can see where this goes.If they do pick an ending, I hope it's destroy, but I'd rather they just start fresh. What's your stake? I'll take it.ME4 is going to be exclusive to XB1 I bet
One of the most mediocre franchises of last gen. Hopefully they will come up with an interesting story next time.
Unless EA made the deal pre-180, I doubt this. EA is all about maximizing profits and unless they are under contract with Microsoft they wouldn't limit themselves from that sweet PS4 money.ME4 is going to be exclusive to XB1 I bet
I hope not.

Why would EA limit their profit like that?

If there were any doubts.
I would like some other developer tries to make a epic scifi RPG, as I dislike the setting and tone used in Mass Effect. Something more modern. ME feels stuck in the 60-70s scifi.
Which was before MS shit the bed. Also wasn't Titanfall not even going to be made at all until MS stepped in? I remember hearing about that from the special Keighley did on it.Sarcasm? See Titanfall.
