Well, I remember Halo 3 once getting the first place on the ranking the week of his release, and thus beating every DS game and new DS release for the week... Must've been a relatively slow week...

Isnt Wii fairly easy to find in Japan at the moment? Maybe alittle harder this week due to Super Smash Brothers Brawl, but in general (unless you talk about USA).

As far as I can tell from a quick scan, it hasn't happened since this incarnation of GAF has kept track of sales. In other words, since 2005. There was one week that only had Kirby's Canvas Curse but I can't find any week with no DS titles.

Since the DS's release. The last time only one DS game made it into the Top 10 (by Famitsu) is the week of July 25-31, 2005. The list is not representative of the Media-Create/Famitsu rankings for this week. Anyone remember Square2005's Comgnet charts? Yeah, this is similar to that.

I just think they need more colors, and more interesting "non-games" that aren't available anywhere else, like Nintendogs and whatnot. Of course, DQ9 is going to be a shot in the arm for the DS.

I still see the PSP's current rise as completely hardware driven, and having nothing to do with the software though. This could most certainly change though, as I definitely didn't see the current PSP hardware rejuvenation coming at all. But yeah, if I were Nintendo, I'd start thinking about doing things sooner rather than later.
