No, because Pokemon Diamond and Pearl individually will not make it to three million each within the next few months. Worry about this on Famitsu's chart.
Eh, true enough.

Edit: I'll contribute to two of those sales, though. >_> I ain't waiting for April 2007 or whenever they get around to releasing D/P in the US.

3. (DS, Square Enix) Final Fantasy III - 49,475 / 598,476
4. (DS, Nintendo) Mogitate Tingle no Bara Iro Rupee Land - 32,792
5. (DS, Nintendo) More Brain Age - 32,054 / 3,151,912
6. (DS, Nintendo) Shaberu! DS Cuisine Navi - 25,458 / 445,191
7. (GBA, Nintendo) Rhythm Tengoku - 24,676 / 148,108
8. (DS, Nintendo) Animal Crossing Wild World - 24,027 / 3,205,762
9. (PS2, Sega) Phantasy Star Universe - 20,431 / 140,633
10. (DS, Nintendo) Mario Basket 3 on 3 - 20,372 / 288,136

Good to see PSP game as #1. Need more PSP games in the top 10.
The new average weekly sales for NSMB is 50K, which is nice.
FFIII still hanging strong even with the shortage of game is nice.
Never thought that tingle will stay on #4. Thought it will be # 6 or below.
Will Brain Age ever take over Animal Crossing ? Will ever NSMB take over AC ?
Sad to see PSU drop from #1 to #9.
Rhythm Tengoku has legs, just like Mario Basket 3on3.

People were predicting that this would happen weeks ago. On a similar note, what ever happened to Big Brain Academy? It was surging along with Brain Training (and for a time BT2?), but then it just hit a roadblock and it fell off of the charts. What up wit dat?

Based on Famitsu, the latest data for Big Brain Academy (when they show up on Famitsu Top 30), is 1,262,816, as of 18-Jun-06 (almost 3 months ago).

Is there actually a game card shortage? If not, then the legs of Brain Age, New Mario have gotten a lot smaller since FF3.

Gundam SD for PSP took the top spot a few weeks ago.

Yeah, I know that, but what other PSP games took #1 spot in this year ?
I don't know any other PSP game that were #1 in their first week sales in 2006.

I don't think there is game shortage for Brain Age, since the game was released quite a long time ago, and game stores should have enough (buffer) stock to keep up the sales. Not sure about NSMB, since it is released (relatively) recently..

Doubt it. These games have had massive legs but they cant last forever. Especially with all the huge DS games coming out in the next couple of months (Pokemon, Jump Superstars, Winning Eleven, Yoshi's Island etc.) weekly sales of BA, AC and NSMB are only going to continue to go down.

Well obviously, SD Gundam Generations was the first PSP ever to be #1 on the charts.

I wish there were LTDs on Rune Factory and Valhalla Knights (not to mention Naruto RPG 3 and a few other games).

Naruto RPG3's LTD was 35,955 by 23-Jul-06 in Famitsu. If you want an up-to-date data, you have to twait for Famitsu 500 2006

Yes, I'm aware of what it's LTD was a month and a half ago. Hence my desire for a more recent LTD. :)

Nintendo may have temporarily halted the productionof Big brain academy cart, since there are other brain training options, in order to produce more carts of pokemon/other games.

What's up with non of the ds titles selling >100k!?
100k is actually an amount that most games would be happy to have at launch week, but the answer to your question is FFIII (and possibly other games as well) shortages.

This list has a severe lack of Stock Trader Training DS. I'm sure that's going to be the next big thing.

I see what you did there. There's NO WAY the FFVII remake for the DS sells that little, unless Square-Enix underships again!

YTD/LTD:

DS: 5,242,246/10,889,198
PSP: 1,285,484/3,968,446

DS Lead: 3,956,762/6,920,752

DS '06 vs. DS '05: +3,616,130
PSP '06 vs. PSP '05: +70,265

Since the DS launched in the U.S. and Japan:

NDS: 16.73 million
GBA (in timespan): 10.84 million
PSP: 8.99 million

Milestones that should happen next week:
* DS passes 11 million in Japan
* DS YTD Lead passes 4 million in Japan
* DS LTD Lead passes 7 million in Japan
* PSP passes 9 million total between U.S. and Japan

Wow. I completly forgot about the sales charts.

Hardware should be interesting.

Was this the first week of the Japanese PS2 price drop?

Does that have as much effect in Japan as it normally does in the US? (although, retailers can be slow to act and could easily take a good couple of weeks to get out to consumers)
