Just PMed you. Get back to me whenever you have a second. Thanks!dabookerman said:Since this is a tradition to the games, this isn't a spoiler. But the closest things to achievements are the animal ranks you get in the game.
Once this game comes out, I assume everyone will be making their impressions in this thread right, spoiler tagging any spoilers. I can't wait to see that, will be great to see some of your reactions.

However, assuming you have finished it, what did you think of the game? Did you think the game lived up to all the positive reviews it has has been getting? What would you give it out 10?

considering I thoroughly enjoyed MGS2 without ever playing MGS1, I don't think so. Sure, it was confusing, but it was fun (thought that last codec call did drag on to the point where my eyes were just glazing over, and the opening cutscene was incredibly boring).DunpealD said:How's the acceptance of MGS first timers, i.e. will it be hard for newcomers to get into the story? I am in no way trying to start the argument again, but if you have a choice PLEASE play the PS1 MGS instead of Twin Snakes if this is your first time with the serieslawblob said:I bought Twin Snakes a few days ago, hoping to refresh my MGS knowledge. My main problem is the GC controller. It is so baffling to me I am having a hard time getting into the damn game!

And I have played MGS before, but it was a looong time ago.
Hence, Twin Snakes.

I'm pretty sure it's just no ps2 BC, Ps1 games should work on it just fine.lawblob said:I have the 40gig PS3, so no backwards compatibility

Last confirmation from you: Are the news of ca. 90 minutes cutscenes bogus?

This is getting ridiculous.

Mind if I ask you a question in PM? I definitely don't want to check the spoiler thread to see if it was answered.dabookerman said:If you never played an MGS game before. You might aswell skip the cutscenes, because you won't know what the hell is going on. It would be a shame to play the game without playing the others. Some of the fan service put in just won't have that effect, and it would feel wrong.
but harry potter 7 sucked regardless D:RoboPlato said:This will be my first time playing any of the MGS games without knowing the major plot points and I intend to keep it that way. I was able to avoid Harry Potter 7 spoilers and that took me a while to finish because of work and other things so I think I should be ok.
