And yes, Peace Walker is awesome. Online was SORELY needed and it's good it's here in the PS3 version.

Trophies in this game are way harder and time consuming than MGS2/3.

For "Snake Beater" open a locker (don't go inside it) with a poster and call Otacon while facing the poster in first-person. That was one of my first MGS2 trophies and it's been a while, but I think that's it.

Don't fight it. Have it wash over you.

Just as a warning, MGS2's last 1/3 will make you crazy. That's where the series truly goes overboard. However, MGS3 is a real return to form. So stick with it.

As already mentioned, MGS2 hasn't even started up the real crazy train yet. It all kind of implodes on itself in the last hour or two, so brace yourself for that.

MGS3 is interesting in the sense that it is fully self-aware of how silly it can get, but it keeps things simple enough. Pretty much more like MGS1 in terms of goofiness.

I've put 108 hrs into Peace Walker. It's an amazing game with one of the best single-player (and multi, if you prefer) campaigns/extras that I've experienced of late. The PSP quality graphics don't bother me--the dual stick controls really improve the experience, and the 60fps is consistent and excellent.

First platinum I've ever gotten or cared about. Loaded with Easter eggs.

Use sniper rifle + knife. Unless of course if you're doing the no-kill run then I'd recommend getting The End's gun first.

Yeah it stinks. I may have lucked out though because after a bit of searching online I think I may have missed something called the melon vine. It's classified as a vegetable so I could miss that and still get all of the trophies. I made a save right after The End just in case something went wrong and the melon vine is supposed to be in that forrest so I may have lucked out lol.

Knife him. If you aren't going for Stamina/no kills. Seriously, just run up to him and knife knife knife. About as easy as the Fear in terms of quickness. Otherwise it turns into an annoying but better than the End battle to Stamina kill him.

If you don't load a new area and reload you lose your shit. If you die and continue, you lose your shit.

Make a checklist and then load a new area/go to a previous area and save before you quit.

Also since you're missing the R Vegetable and made a save after the End go back to the warehouse where you could do "The Early End," but don't enter. In that area you can get the R. Vegetable. Just look up near the fence/gate area and walk forward until you see a long oblong thing hanging. Shoot it down. But you still need to reget the stuff you already got.

Er-outside of MGS2 3/4/5(er-PW) had CGI for box art. And MGS1 was just a logo. In the US. Maybe in Japan they used howeverhisnameisspelled' art.

It's only on the re-release/Sub<n> version of the games that they included his art for the cover.

Finally got my Gustav Fulton on Peace Walker I am addicted to the ex ops but really am disliking the tank/apc/helicopter battles. The multiplayer aspect reminds me a Monster Hunter (probably why I keep playing it) and trying to research all the weapons is addictive. Plus each mission is about 3-10 minutes.

You can change the controls to more traditional FPS controls in the mission selection screen, under Mission 5 in the First Person View Mode mission screen.
