just a guess that i have
They might. They absolutely won’t, but keep that dream alive!ES6 and starfield might be timed exclusives
No. Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo are coming to PS5. FO76 and TeS online will still be supported on PS5.So games in development will ship on ps5. If those games get patched or dlc is made available 18 months down the line, ps5 owners will get that too.
After that they'll be told to fuck off and buy an xbox.
“games under contract” is different to games in development. If a game has no contract to it then it will go exclusive
Guess again...just a guess that i have
Dude let it go, its embarrassing.ES6 and starfield might be timed exclusives
I think Starfield is going to be the 1st exclusive we see out of this deal, Sony tried buying a timed exclusive window on it and it is probably one of the main motivators for MS snapping them upIn the long run it’s gonna be a pretty significant power play by MS.
Does Starfield still falls under the multi-platform umbrella? Future TES and Fallout seem likely Xbox exclusives, no?
guess what again? i got a PC and am waiting for the summer announcements by bethesda , hopefully starfield clips etcGuess again...
I've been thinking of this, and outside re-releases and MMOs I don't know what he's talking about. If there is a game franchise with legacy - we will continue to support it on other platforms
Exclusive IP on the future:
The Edler Scrolls
Doom
Starfield
Fallout
Wolfenstein
Prey
Dishonored
The Evil Within
Rage
But do we actually know that there isn't a contract somewhere that was agreed that Starfield or Elder Scrolls 6 will come to PS5? I can understand that unannounced games will be exclusive but how do we know that announced games didn't have something agreed to already that they'll be multiplat.
I have a Series X and Game Pass so it doesn't matter to me either way. I'm just throwing that out there as it is a possibility with them mentioning that they fulfill contracts.Don’t do it to yourself
The way I read it is game franchises with already strong multi-platform communities e.g. ES and Doom. Starfield is obviously a new IP and should be exclusive with this definition.I've been thinking of this, and outside re-releases and MMOs I don't know what he's talking about.
The legacy of Bethesda games on PlayStation is not good. Doom is not a franchise that people identify with PlayStation or Nintendo.
I guess, randomly, a Doom 64 remake could make it to Switch. But beyond that I have no idea.
It is possible, albeit highly unlikely, that Starfield, ES6, FO5, Indiana Jones, etc has a contract in place that MS can't get out of and has to honor. But do we actually know that there isn't a contract somewhere that was agreed that Starfield or Elder Scrolls 6 will come to PS5? This Bethesda deal is about exclusive content for Xbox
Going by what... the man himself just clarified the position. If you want Bethesda content, get a Game Pass device.ES6 and starfield might be timed exclusives
That's a very generous reading of what was said. 'Multiplatform' doesn't have a legacy. The way I read it is game franchises with already strong multi-platform communities e.g. ES and Doom. Starfield is obviously a new IP and should be exclusive with this definition.
Does Switch have Game Pass? If not, no.My bet?
Bethesda games will be in Nintendo but no in Playstation.
It's funny that people like you think that just because someone throws something out there means that they are in denial. As I said I have a Series X and have had Game Pass since day 1. Mine doesn't end until sometime in 2023. I'm good either way but it's worth mentioning. It is possible, albeit highly unlikely, that Starfield, ES6, FO5, Indiana Jones, etc has a contract in place that MS can't get out of and has to honor.
I don't think that's the case and you should move to the acceptance stage. Just an anecdotal example Xbox, Spencer, Greenberg, etc all tweeted and mentioned on their social media accounts when Indy was announced as coming from Bethesda and Todd Howard. PS and their representatives did not mention it even once.
Also remember just because a contract is in place does not mean they can't get out of it. To use an extreme example the legal language of a contract might say something like "if Zenimax acquires, is acquired, and/or merges with another company the terms of this contract are null and void".
You are setting yourself up for disappointment IMO. Just save up and buy an XBox or get Gamepass on PC or (soon) smart TVs.
I thought Xbox has no games. Why do people suddenly want them on PlayStation? So Sony might still see those games if they allow "GamePass" on the PlayStation consoles.
you can read it however you want... maybe English isn't your first language? The way I read it is game franchises with already strong multi-platform communities e.g. ES and Doom. Starfield is obviously a new IP and should be exclusive with this definition.
We know Sony were trying to get timed exclusivity for Starfield when Microsoft bought Zenimax - I don’t think it’s any kind of general practise to sign a contract to say a game will just come out on a platform at the same time, just exclusivity contracts. So there is a slim chance, I suppose, that Sony signed timed exclusivity but haven’t mentioned it. Like there’s a chance the moon is made of cheese.I have a Series X and Game Pass so it doesn't matter to me either way. I'm just throwing that out there as it is a possibility with them mentioning that they fulfill contracts.
still, i am pretty sure all of those game, or majority of those game will come to PS4/PS5. you are not gonna just alienate more than 50-60% of those games buyers(real buyers) and leave those money on the table, you have to be pretty retarded to do that.
