All the people trashing this question, we literally had people telling us on here over and over that Sony would step in and stop this. I read this probably 20x at least on here. Here we have a journalist that got access to someone and asked so we could get the answer. And we got it. This means Xbox PC will also load the Xbox Store app, Steam, Epic, Gog, and play anything on it. Tons of people tried to speculate otherwise.
If you guys think it's a stupid question to ask, imagine how stupid it was for the many people on here that didn't even ask the question but stated over and over that Sony would stop it and were completely wrong.
Who are the people who said Sony would block their games from running on a PC if that PC had "Xbox" in the name?
OkApples and Oranges, mate.
PS Portal is a streaming-only device and is advertised as such. This device is not a streaming-only device. It is marketed as a device that can download and play games natively.

And you can download and play all PC games natvely, but you cannot download and play all Xbox games natively.
What a loaded bullshit question. Nonstop gaslighting. Enjoy moving your goalpost with your friends. I am not arguing with you further about it.Who are the people who said Sony would block their games from running on a PC if that PC had "Xbox" in the name?
You made the accusation, the onus is on you to provide the evidence. What a loaded bullshit question. Nonstop gaslighting. Enjoy moving your goalpost with your friends. I am not arguing with you further about it.
The chicken should be unbanned so it can be properly grilled in this thread. Pun intended.

So they might only block their games on particular Windows PCs? Very anti-consumer.No, you can buy a PC right now and play all of the games they've released on there.
Sure, that's fair. If I gave a damn if you believed anything I said. I don't.You made the accusation, the onus is on you to provide the evidence.

Go for it.I'll take that as a "no one did". Thanks.
This is s horrible post and you should feel bad.Sure, that's fair. If I gave a damn if you believed anything I said. I don't.
Go for it.
The goalposts haven't moved, but the coop was forcibly removed:

Sorry for your backfire.

It's a Xbox branded windows handheld, windows was in the reveal video. Not really sure why this would even need to be asked unless there is confusion that it's an actual portable Xbox. All the people trashing this question, we literally had people telling us on here over and over that Sony would step in and stop this. I posted what I wanted to say. I can't argue with the 3 of you at once or I get banned. I don't want to dig through the last year of posts on this site to prove something to people who don't listen to me anyway. I have nothing to gain from engaging further so I'm not going to.Dude, it would have been far easier for you to take it on the chin instead of getting all in your feelings.
Thats what they want you to think, for now. It's not an Xbox, it's a PC/Windows handheld with an Xbox logo.
Basically the same as if you purchase a PS5 and slap an Xbox sticker on it. It'd still be a PS5.
PC will play PC games

Nothing personal about it. Nothing to take on the chin. Of course multiple people on here said Sony would block PS games. I'm honestly surprised you guys are actually acting like you can't remember when we're all on here every day. It was repeated numerous times and that's why someone asked about it. If you guys want to make some big deal about someone asking MS a question about it, go for it. It's just so ridiculous.
You'd think that, don't forget they also specifically blocked the Edge browsers running on Xbox from streaming Geforce now for playstation published games back in the day.
Stranger things have happened. If it's possible, Sony will probably look into it.
Yeah the whole GeForce Now debacle is the biggest nonsense ever, I can't believe it existsI mean, let's be honest.
It wouldn't even be a question if there wasn't any precedent. I'd have never thought it were possible to block a specific browser from running a streaming session either.
In an ideal world, this really should be a 'no, duh' thing.
Serious question. You'd think that, don't forget they also specifically blocked the Edge browsers running on Xbox from streaming Geforce now for playstation published games back in the day.

Why would Sony waste the effort to stop selling games to a very small niche product in a line of products that is near death anyhow?
This product will never get the amount of traction Geforce Now ever got

Its being done and has been done for years by Asus (and a few others) not Microsoft. This is also an Asus product first and foremost. MS brings a better and optimized OS, thats it for now.Playing recent PS games on the go done by Microsoft before Sony is wild.

There's nothing they can do to stop people purchasing games via Steam/GOG and then playing them locally on native PC hardware.
Which part of my post implies this?I also believe people thought you were implying that it was Sony fans who were saying it, but it seems the reverse has been demonstrated - that it was Xbox console warrior types that said it, as a way of sneering at "evil Sony."
Christ alive...

True. Also refrigerators and dishwashers. Your point?Laptops exist.

I don't remember? Oh don't you worry, I remember very well, there's even a link I posted for you to explore. Who was it that you said was supposed to be gaslighting again?
Sorry that the people who said those things weren't who you thought they were.
