Minecraft director defends throwing popcorn in the theater, says viewers are just having a "true party"

It's not a publicity stunt mate. People in cinemas all over the world are doing this. Even here in Holland. Gross behavior normally reserved for dirty animals.
No... In Mexico, people are respectful and civilized... We don't do such rude things.

I took my son to see it. Holy shit is it bad, but middle school boys are loving it. I am not surprised the target audience are pigs.

When I was a little kid, my fucking parents made sure I had manners. I didn't fucking intentionally make a mess for minimum wage employees to clean up. Fucking entitled little shits and their brain dead parents are making this world unbearable.

People don't want to parent their kids, and rather just give them a phone/tablet/etc. to keep them preoccupied.

Inevitably the kid ends up on social media, sees stupid shit other people are doing, has never been taught that's not acceptable and becomes a POS themselves because their parents are absent in their life.

The circle of life.

Perhaps you're in the know since you used this gif specifically, but my sister who was a teen in the 80's said they would go to the late night showing of RHPS and throw hot dogs (franks) at the screen.

Wonder if they're trying to recapture some of the "trends" certain movies used to illicit.

We used to dress up as pirates when we'd watch Pirates of the Caribbean. People in the parking lot after Fast and Furious would throttle their fart cannons and riced up cars.

Guessing this is an isolated trend for a isolated movie going experience. It'll pass soon just like every other trend. On to the next "thing".

As my parents said, if everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you do it too? Stop excusing rude, trashy behavior.

I get what he means. Kids get their knowledge of what is trashy from the outside world and it's very confusing. A kid might not necessarily perceive the difference between confetti at one place and popcorn at another. They thought the confetti was crazy too until it went everywhere at a momentous occasion. But no wait, something similar is not okay in a different place.

It's like learning English.

How much does a kernel of corn cost?
0.39€ for 250gr.

I eat A LOT of popcorn during the day, I see a lot of non popped, or semi popped kernels.

It might sound like nothing to you but after living for 10 years on not much money for 2 people, every cent is important to me.

A kernel of corn is .25 grams. That puts each kernel at 0.00039 Euro. You would need to lose over 2500 kernels to equal 1 Euro. I think you're over worrying.

Even if you popped 2 bags a week and each bag lost 50 kernels you would only be loosing about 2 bucks a year.
