Part of VADA's pitch is that more testing will reduce injuries. Whether they're surreptitiously referring to 'injuries' that pop up to hide a mistimed cycle or they actually believe that overtraining on PEDs is more common than using them to enhance recovery times I don't know. OTOH, they don't (currently) test for weed.

Bonjasky is a handsome stud. Still gonna get that work from Sp*ng though. I liked how all the fighters competing at Glory 6 were wearing suits for the press conference, rather than looking like slobs in affliction t-shirts.

I actually have plans Saturday morning when Glory 6 is airing, but I think I will cancel them and join nerd chat for the first time!

The rate at which GSP is getting injured is getting ridiculous. They're not even impressive injuries, like Cain breaking his hand on his opponent's face.

Ellenberger v. Hendricks would be a good matchup. I'd only rather it happened after Hendricks took the belt, rather than for an interim belt that doesn't particularly represent anything except that someone is a number one contender.

Seems Hardys thing is "Wolf Heart" syndrome, and that it isn't a pop at Diaz but rather a real thing. He said the commission won't clear him in Cali, no idea if he can fight elsewhere or is seeking treatment.

edit: watched TUF last night as well, and it annoyed that Dana is training these guys even early on they can pick and choose their fights. Why bother?!?! Just tell them who the fuck they're fighting and that's it!

Yeah, I've never understood why Dana plays around with the who wants to fight who shit anyway. TUF is a tournament, set up a fucking bracket and be done with it.

Charles Rowan, 25, didn't die in a February car wreck while en route to his fifth bout, as his girlfriend, Rosalinda Martinez, claimed that night, according to DiPonio. The couple and a friend, Michael Bowman, were in a Gladwin courtroom on Friday to hear the charges against them: armed robbery and assault with intent to murder. Each requested a court-appointed attorney.

DiPonio, who owns the Diamond D fight team, said he realized they had been duped when he saw Rowan's mug shot on television identifying him a person of interest in the Monday robbery of Guns and Stuff, about 100 miles southeast of Traverse City. The store's owner, Richard Robinette, was severely beaten and remained in serious but stable condition Friday in a Flint hospital.
