Do we have any informed speculation as to how much the Bellator PPV will be?
Getting the info from a comment made on Heel's TVbytheNumbers link:
Bellator MMA Live: Summer Series Spike TV
0.679 million viewers, #29; 0.413 million adults 18-49 (0.3 rating), #24
Fight Master: Bellator MMA Spike TV
0.629 million viewers, #30; 0.306 million adults 18-49 (0.2 rating), #28
So in what was easily one of, if not the best shows Bellator has ever put on they hovered just under 700k for a free show. By comparison, UFC on FX 6 which had Pearson v. George Sit as the Main Event pulled over 900k in the worst ratings of any UFC on FX show (Used the FX cards since for a basic cable to basic cable comparison).
The lowest PPV buys for the UFC this year was Evans v. Hendo at 150k buys (Prelims are listed at having about 950k viewers on FX) so with Bellator having a weaker brand and a considerably less known roster in addition to Tito and Rampage being pretty widely recognized as past their prime.. I really don't see huge numbers for this event unless the PPV is priced considerably less than 50-60.
Thinking about it though.. I'm not sure if this is really Bellator seriously trying to get into the PPV market or if it's just trying to break even/slighly profit off of this event while strengthening their court case against Alvarez as well as making all their other "right to match any offers" contracts stronger.
Edit: And I totally misinterpreted your question. Oh well. The info might still be interesting to someone.
